Are any of you into these?  My boyfriend and I got into them over the summer.  You buy a plushie in a store and on his tag there's a code that you put into the website webkinz.com and from there on it's kinda like Neopets.  But, there are many different features.  The houses remind me of the Sims because you can design them and move stuff around and actually like watch the TV's and cook.  And you can dress the pets (unlike neopets they can wear clothes).

I've never heard of these before, but they sound pretty interesting. Do you know of any places you can buy them, or if they're still being sold?

My sister has one. She bought it at our local Pharma Plus.

Sorry, but I think they're pretty stupid...

That's what I thought when my sister got one because they don't grow or anything... but I really enjoy the decorating part of it, it's fun!  I'm excited to see where the site goes

Places I've seen Webkinz:
Learning Express Toy stores
Hallmarks
Local Toy Stores

Yeah they aren't true virtual pets really, but I do like the plushies. I might get one for my friend when her birthday is closer. Ebay has a lot of those too.

They are more similar to neopets/The Sims than virtual pets

I have a couple.  I thought that they seemed cool enough to try out.  They are in the middle of expanding the site so it's still in the building process.  When it's done I think that this will be a great thing to have.
