Now I ask this because I've noticed something for the last while.

When Tamagotchi came out first time in North America (V1) I was good at getting various awesome characters. I got mimitchi and mametchi obviously couple times on thoese things early on. When the later versions came out though, I noticed I ran into the hassle factor. I got my V1's I've had paused on/off for a while and first generation on them I got tarakotchis o_O which I'm not a big fan of lol.

V1's arent too bad but I guess its hard at times to go back to the primitive nature except in the old P1/P2 generation types. V3's on another hand I have had few die on me on them and overtime I went from LOVING the "get" game on there to finding it very tedious lol. V4's and/or Entamas still seem to appeal to me most all around.

As for non tama pets, had a digimon I bought in around March and had the thing die n me due to me learning the time set doesn't stop the time the pet is alive like tamas do, so in turn it got neglected quite a bit. It's a little harder to manage but the game is fairly easy.

So anyone else find certain virtual pets be tamagotchi or not harder/more hassling at times than others? Is it an overtime thing? Is it immediate? Tell me Cheesy

The iD is really hard for me because they were so many new features that I couldn't read. For example, I don't get the happy meter. Also, they beep and say something in Japanese and when I push a button it dissapears.

I just can not run the music star anymore. I completely fail with it now. It could be because I ran thirty generations on it at once before I accidentally killed it... Tongue

What don't you get about it? Its pretty straight forward.

I don't get the Morino (Forest) or Ocean/Umigo. Getting one of the 'good character' on either, especially the latter, is an impossible task!

Actually, getting into Adulthood on the Ocean itself is nearly impossible. My teens has the tendency to just die on me whenever they feel like it, and the fact that I'm wasting countless hours taking care of it to the best of my abilites don't matter one bit!

You know I actually figured out the Morino FINALLY come 2009 (July I think? lol). I was able to get a couple awesome characters on there (one by accident). The trick is the weight AND the temp on the cocoon. I got the uber special awesome coin bug character on there and I was so happy to get them ^_^

Ocean I'm still errrrr on Tongue lol. I only have had 2 characters who were adults on there and that was the clam and the whale.

Now, I voted for V5 here... but only because of its hardware issues. I simply cannot raise a generation without it resetting on me =/

Easiest is the Mini, obviously, but that's not exactly on the list...
But for me, if you go back in time through the Connection/Modern series, they get easier and easier. I haven't played anything but the P1 in the original series, but that one isn't exactly easy either,

The Angel causes me the least hassle, at least raising it. I've found that it hardly ever presents me with a problem, and the hearts don't empty very fast. I actually have trouble getting anything less than the top character because the thing deals so well with a little neglect. Of course, if I end up with the Futagotenshi, then it lives a long time and gets all needy and annoying.

I didn't really notice much needy until around 17-18ish mark but could of been at the time I had more motivation to keep my little twin angels. Longest I had mine going was 21 years (days) until it left. That was an awesome holiday hatch.

I voted for V6. I haven't owned a large variety of tamas in my day, but I don't really like the tedium raising all of my 'gotchi's different musical skills with nothing but the same three games (and a wee bit of practice which doesn't really do much in terms of stat raising). I've also got a P1 which is fairly easy; the most difficult thing about it would have to be when it's young and needs constant care, but that doesn't last. I've also noticed that as they get into the older adult years, they require much more care. Is that possibly because I paused it too much? Either way, I'd like to try some of the different tamagotchi versions because I've only experienced playing with a select few.
