I haven't seen this anywhere on the site, so I will start a topic on it! In America, we got the Music Star. In my opinion, it was not that fascinating. After 2-3 years, Bandai has announced a new Tamagotchi-in America! All the info found has been put together in this article-http://tamagotchi.wikia.com/wiki/Tamatown_Tama-Go. Who is excited? I know I am. Ok, I am starting to sound like a sales person...

I read about this a few days ago... it looks quite interesting, although... such a design change!

Apparently there are little figurines you can use that you can attach to the Tamagotchi...... would love to get more info about this. Although, I guess we will just have to be patient. Smiley

Hooray, a new Tamagotchi! I was actually beginning to wonder when Bandai would release a new version of Tamagotchi, but I guess they're not being like everyone else by releasing a new version of something every few months (DS, anyone??).

This is exciting news, however I checked out the Bandai link provided on the wiki page, and it stated the following: "The Tama-Go with new four-gray scale display screen includes an interchangeable design face plate and one Tama Character figure." Does this mean that it will still have a black and white display?

If so, that's unfortunate because I was looking forward to an American Tama that displayed the characters fully in color. Ah well, I suppose I could import and learn Japanese if I wanted to badly enough. Which leads me to wonder if the iD's price has gone down... Hmm.

Unfortunately, it is in black and white. But wait! It is bigger than the iD and Plus Color! It is said to be $US 20.00 for the tama and $US 7.00 for a figure.

Aw, no, my dreams are crushed. I hope beyond hope that being larger than the iD and Plus Color make it capable of more things than either of the two, though. I'm still excited about the figures working in conjunction with the game. I have a feeling I'll be spending a lot on figures.  Tongue I wonder if a figure can be shared among more than one unit or if each individual tamagotchi has to have its own separate figures.

Oh wow! I had no heard of this! (Sorry, I know this thread is old, but I couldn't help myself!)

I was looking forward to getting a Japanese Tama Plus Color, but maybe I'll hold out for this new guy! I wonder how the figure addition is going to work! It sounds so cute!!!

I found an article on the TamaTown Tama-Go. The highlight of it is the photo gallery. This thing is huge! It probably won't fit in your pocket, and it certainly wouldn't fit in a kid's pocket. I wonder if this is a step in the right direction for bandai? Without further ado, the article:

I think stores are getting prepared for the release. How do I know this? A few days ago, I bought a Music Star. It came with 3 collectible figures and the MOVIE. I didn't know Bandai of America would sell the movie! Tamagotchi has to be getting popular and I think that the Tama-Go will increase the popularity by alot!
