Two questions here.

First, how long do the batteries in the P1/P2 last? I just got a new P1 and P2 and bought new batteries for both (Energizer 357 I think), and I'm curious as to how long they'll be running off them.

Second, after a bad experience with a P1 and the wrong kind of screwdriver, I have to ask, where can I get a quality screwdriver?
When I took my Tama to a watch repair shop (they had to drill the screw out), the guy said the screw got stripped because of my lesser quality screwdriver.
Now, I don't have 90$ to spend on one screwdriver, but, I am prepared to invest in a good, reasonably priced one.
I feel like the P1/P2 screws are known to be stripped easily, so I want to be careful. Especially since if the 2nd screw gets stripped, I'll have to tape the back on.
I reeeally don't want to have to do that haha!

Same problem, this is what I do. Once you get the screw out, tape the back of the tama, you wont need a screwdriver.

I got a home hardware where I'm at to get decent computer screwdrivers that work best for virtual pets. They come in a pack of usually 6-8. They're really nice and only cost like 12ish bucks for the pack. I suggest you look into that.

As for screw replacements, I keep spare screws from old pets that were cheap fakes or ones that were too messed up to save so I always have at least one that'll work.

Well, I don't have any spare screws, but I will run by my local hardware store to see about getting a better screwdriver. Thanks!

There also exists screwdriver sets for the screws in glasses frames. They usually have 3-4 "normal" chisel shaped drivers and 2-3 "+" shaped drivers in different (small) sizes. The biggest both chisel and "cross" shaped drivers are smaller than smallest drivers in "common" hardware screwdriver sets.

These glasses-screwdriver sets are sold usually in the "dollar store" type stores but the quality of these $2 sets is rather worse. If you choose visely and buy the set from some real hardware store you usually get good-qualitied set which has price around $10-15.

Might be the drivers TigerLily mentioned are same thing than these.
