My name is Jan G.  I just joined today--11/22/09.  I have 38 Tamas, and 5 non-Tama VPs.  I have been playing with Tamas since they first came to the States in 1997.  I am amazed at how much these little guys have changed over the years. I currently have at least one each of all versions that have been released, including a Santaclautchi (green) that is one of my most prized possessions.  I hope to be of help if I can, and look forward to making some new friends on here. I am currently running a V5.5 (Blue palm trees), a Japanese Royal Familitchi (Beach), an Uratama (Neon Blue), a TMGC+Color (black), and a Chibi (lt. Blue).

Hi Jan, welcome to TSS.

I also bought my first VP around 1997.  Not a Bandai tama (couldn't find those anywhere in my small town at the time), but a dino pet - which I still have, even though most of the design has rubbed off the shell now and one of the back screws is missing.    I have around the same number of tamas that you have.  Might be cool to start a thread showing pictures of our collections!

I've been dithering for a while now about whether to get a Santaclautchi or not.  I see them pop up occasionally on eBay.  They're always so expensive (ditto the Devilgotchi).  If I catch myself on a reckless day then I might just splurge out.
