Hello I'm 14. I have had tamagotchis since I was 12 and I still love them!!! I feel very embarrassed about it though because it's a little kids toy. Is it normal for me to still like to play with them?

What, you embarrassed over it?
What should us dudes over 20 do? xD!!

To be honest, it's nothing to be embarrassed about, people will just have to accept it or turn an blind eye.

Don't worry, once you reach the upper grades you can run with the excuse that it's retro (like playing Pokemon Silver on a Gameboy Pocket)

It's all about attitude!

Hey, I'm 22. And I still love them.. (secretly-ish)... Nothing to be embarrassed about at all! Tongue
If people don't like it, then good for them. : )

It's not strange for people to have their hobbies, it's just the way society urges people to "grow up" and behave in a certain manner. A lot of people who care for tamagotchi pets are older than the target age (take me, for example, and apparently a lot of the other members of this forum). I believe that I've read that the original creator of tamagotchi lived in Japan and had no room for pets in her small living space, so she created a virtual, portable one. Hey, did I read that on Mimitchi.com?  Smiley

I'm 20 and I still play with them because I loved them as a kid, and I tend to do what I want regardless of what others think =) It's all about rockin it Wink

(I think it's a bit strange to come in VP fan messageboard to ask if you are too old to like VPs especially when you are in the official target age group Tongue)

It's not odd. I think it's a person's way of seeking acceptance. Like I said to others, it's a legit hobby to enjoy and everyone likes various things so it's all good.

I'm 21 and I just got back into them. With a passion. A burning, fanatic passsion. Cheesy

If you like playing with them, then why should you stop because other people don't like it? You're doing it for your own enjoyment, not theirs.
