Hey guys. I just recently found my Kimiko Baby Byte, got new batteries and everything, and I can't figure out how to put the new batteries in and put it back together to make it turn on. Can someone PLEASE help me with this? Battery instructions, or atleast a photo of that the back of this toy looks like so i know  how to screw it back in place? THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Hey alright, another person with a Kimiko Baby Byte! This was my first VP ever - one I thought no-one else had, to this day.

On the back of the Baby Byte, near the bottom, is a semi-circle with a screw at the bottom. This is the battery door. Unscrew that screw once you find a screwdriver that will fit it. Baby Bytes have the smallest screws ever, I swear.
You do /not/ need to take apart the entire toy.

Depending on how aged your Baby Byte is, the hinge on your battery door may or may not still work. If it doesn't, just be sure not to lose the door!

Once open, you will be faced with two battery-shaped holes... The one on the left will have a '+' in it, and the right a '-'. Insert the batteries with the sides matching accordingly.
Note the the Kimiko Baby Byte can be finicky with batteries... Dollar store button cells worked fine for me, but Radioshack ones didn't. =/ Don't be discouraged if they don't work!

Screw the battery door back on... this is tricky... keep trying. You need to angle the screwdriver just right, so the battery actually goes into the hole.

Having done this, press the small reset button on the front, set the time, and you can start playing! =D

Thank you so much! I got all of that done, BUT it seems to be malfunctioning, and once it turns on, just flashes everything all at once and beeps randomly. Do you know anywhere i can buy a new one, or if youre from NJ anywhere i can get it fixed? I'm dieing to restore it!! Thank you again!!

The Baby Byte does flash every single LCD sector when it boots or reboots... After doing so and beeping, does the clock flash? That just means it wants you to set the time (A & B buttons, if I remember correctly). Once you do so, it should start the game.

If this is not the case, then I don't know what's wrong. =( If you're looking for a new one... perhaps eBay? I wouldn't know. Sorry.
