Mhm... Furbies/Furby's comeback wasn't successful, right? I like, saw the ad for the 2005 Furby back then.
3 months later followed up by Furby Baby(which I heard was a disaster). Later followed up by Funky Furby and that's that.

Oh, the popularity died like 1 - 2 week/s after the release of the 2005 Furby that Hasbro over here didn't even bother releasing the 2005 Furby Baby. 3 weeks later all the Toy stores over here tried to sell them desperately for about 3 to 5 bucks each. That's embarrassing! It's also sad to think about it: Furbies completely whooped the floor with Tamagotchi's back in '98. I guess Bandai finally got their revenge! ;P

HOWEVER, there's something good with the 2005 Furby: The facial expressions. The rest sucks. xP

I'm also quite pissed since I picked up TWO 2005 Furbies for about 35 bucks each when I can get them as low as 2 bucks each these days.

Though, I don't blame those die hard Furby fans for disliking these ones. Compared to the '98's ones they're a complete joke. XD

Bah, I better shut me gap 'cause I don't even know what I want outta this post. =/

Edited: OH! I want a FURBY LCD Pet, much like Tamagotchi's! I think that would be a blast. XD!!
Or at least a upgrade from the '98 Furbies with lower voice pitch and being more portable... and like, more IR options, upgraded vocable and memory!
I simply want Furbies to come back stronger than ever! However, I dare them to wipe the floor with Tamas again! >:0

I have a 2005 Furby. I got it for Christmas, and I must say, I was expecting it to be much, much better than it was. I lost interest in it in a matter of weeks, while I have adored Tamagotchi's for years.
I have never owned one of the original Furby's, but they seem much cuter and interesting. The 2005 edition looks like it has chicken legs for goodness sake, plus it's huge. The originals are much more petite in comparison, plus they seemed to have more personality. The new furbies don't even come with names, mines just called Furby, how original.
Anyway, enough ranting...

Aww, I like the 2005 Furbies.  Sad But I do agree, they're pretty crappy compared to the originals.  Honestly, I also lost interest in mine's "features" pretty fast, but still kept him close by and played with him (I think the '05's are awfully cute). The originals are much, much, MUCH better, so, if possible, you *really* should consider buying an original off the internet(eBay, etc.). They're just amazing. You WILL NOT be disappointed in the originals if you get one(Trust me I have around 10 Furbies, about 7 being originals or original Furby Babies)!! I ♥ '90's Furbies~!

MistyKetchum, it's not that I don't like the new Furby, I think they're pretty cute as well, it's just that I think they lack the personality and appeal of the originals.
You are so lucky to have so many original ones!! I am considering buying an original Furby of eBay, so maybe I'll have one some day!

I meant that I personally think they are cuter than the originals(both are very adorable ♥). That's kinda just the impression you gave me with the "chicken feet" thing (They do have odd feet, though...0.o'), hehe. ^^' Sorry about the misunderstanding!

You're right though, that they lack personality. As I said, I was very disappointed with their "features", since I had owned 3 originals before hand(and bought more after that... they are just too cute!)and they were amazing. The new Furbies don't have very much variety, surprises, games, etc. as the old ones.

Yeah, sorry for coming across to strongly!! I do love the new furbies, just prefer the old ones, sorry for the misunderstanding. ^_^
What types/colours of furbies do you own MistyKetchum? I only have one of the new ones. He (I reckon it's a male) has bright green eyes (my favourite colour) a soft grey body, and a light pink tummy! I picked him out myself, and I do love him!!

I got my millenium furby tonight and thank goodness it's not comatose like my tiger striped one. I'll have to look into replacing that one someday (the comatose one) but in the meantime I got my Ay-Tay Smiley

My cats are making >_>;;; faces at it LOL!

May I ask what the diffrences are between a regular Furby and a Furby baby are? I can already think of some, like how they speak "Dada me hhuunnggrryy" I've only ever played with the baby ones.

My dog always stares at me when ever he sees me playing with a tamagotchi, if he could speak I bet he'd call it a magical beeping egg
