I was thinking of purchasing a new one to see what they're like, the prices are outrageous, but I am curious.

I do miss my Furbies, I remember the first time I got one I bought him to a family barbeque, he was speaking jibberish and my Uncle called him a rat.  Lips Sealed

Last time I saw those in Finnish stores was in after-Christmas sales this January. Their original price in Finland was 49€ (about 55 US$) and last price I saw was 19€ (little over 20$). Looks like 2005 Furby wasn't so big thing in finals...

Whoa really?

The Furbies last time I saw about a few months ago were still about $70/$80AUD... which is a lot.

I'll be sure to re-check them out.

I've heard from many people the new furbys are less enjoyable programming wise then the originals. Most people are really disappointed. I get that from ALOF (adult lovers of furby mailing list on yahoogroups). However I have no first hand experience...

That's essentially what they are, think of a Furby kinda smooshed within a clamshell, and you've got a Shelby^^ (at least in terms of how it looks)

Really? Wow that was a lucky guess XD!! Doesn't sound as cool as a furby though, that's just me though.

I have got the new Furby,Baby Furby, and Funky Furby! However I like the old programming better : Sad

Well here is a story about my Baby Furby:

My Baby Furby went to sleep and while it slept I repeatdly Opened and closed it's
eyes. There was a sharp clicking sound and I thought it broke. I turned it off and
on again and it started speaking without moving it's mouth Shocked After awhile it was
 back to normal.

 And my Funky Furby:

I went over to a friend of my who was walking home and brought my Furby along.
He wouldn't shut up! So she yelled "shut up!" and slammed him on the road Cry
 Luckily, he was fine Wink
