Many of the popular carols/songs are known all around the world and have been translated into many languages.

List some of your favourites. They can be evergreen carols, new Christmas themed songs or maybe Hanukkah or Kwanzaa songs?

My all-time favourites have been;

Santa Claus is Coming to Town which I used to sing all the time around Christmas when I was like 8 or 10. I can remember my mum once yell at me; "For ... sake can't you sing something else for awhile?". I must have been like broken jukebox Tongue

If There's No Snow In Christmas. A Finnish song telling of small boy who's afraid that Santa can't come if his sled don't slide in plain ground. Then he figures out "Santa got to buy helicopter and give those reindeers extra vacation!" Grin

May the Christmas Come. Christian one from the great finnish gospel composer Pekka Simojoki. I love the full-choir version of this <3

There isn't really a Christmas song I don't like, but to name a few:

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town
Let It Snow
Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree
Rudolf The Red Nosed Reindeer
It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year
Jingle Bells
Silver Bells
Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire

Yep, nothing like some Frank Sinatra to brighten the mood and bring back good memories. Smiley

My favorite is Silver Bells.

My older sister, when she was a baby, was made happy when she heard the song "Frosty the Snowman". Even in August! I think it's still her favorite.

I like the normal Christmas carols:

- Jingle Bells (full of rhythm)
- Silent Night (I like to play it on the recorder)
- White Christmas (the music is pretty)
- Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (funny!)
- O'Tannenbaum - Oh Christmas Tree in German (just plain mad!)

I made a website last christmas:

www.freewebs.com/xmasfx/ which you can use as a background page, and listen to the MIDI songs I found on my old computer last year. ^_^

We used to sing Finnish version "Oi Kuusipuu" (Oh Christmas Tree) in school music classes when I was in elementary. I got trauma or something...lol

Hahahaha Kokuma. xD Yes, I remember our teacher (she was the Finnish German teacher too, hehe!) who taught us what all the words meant.

It was really funny, something like:

O'Tannenbaum, O'Tannenbaum (shrill)
*something or other* sind deine Blätte
*something or other* in Sommerzeit
und denn in Winter, und wenn ist schneit.
O'Tannenbaum, O'Tannenbaum
*something or other* deine Blätte

*happy Jiro likes the website* (Azn)
It's nice to listen to at Christmas, hehe.
