Thirsty vmigo dog help

How do you get water out of tap in the kitchen for your vmigo dog to drink when he is thirsty?

You can't use the tap water (I don't know why) You have to go to the Store and buy the bottled water to use..

I don't know what purpose the tap water even serves......
