Have you had it on pause a lot? Pausing will stop growth.

Infant stage lasts around an hour of unpaused time.

Toddlerhood occurs an hour after the infant stage. I believe it lasts 24 hours unpaused time (someone correct me if I'm wrong here).

It might also be easier to determine the problem if you show us a pic?

Well theres the answer you see if you pause a tama it cuts its growth so it should evolve soon enough i hope that helps Grin

So it's a mom with baby then. Well the adult won't leave it's child until it's been with it for 24 hours. This means unpaused time.

If the parent got the baby at 10:30am for example, if you did not pause it at all, you would of been able to set your time to 11:59pm AT 10:30am the next day and the parent would of gone.

However from this statement, this tells me you in fact pause a lot, so then the baby can't be taken care of by you because the parent has not left yet.

Yes, you have have to have your Tamagotchi unpaused for 24 hours straight, including overnight. So that's your problem. Hope I could help.  Smiley

Well if you don't want the parent to leave, that's going to be hard to do since eventually you're either going to pause it for so long that going back to it the battery will need to be changed, or eventually you leave it on active enough the parent's still going to leave...so overall I honestly have no idea why you asked this inquiry on the parent leaving and such when you protest to it so.
