 Cry
He's a 1998 era Millennium Furby that I got around 1999-2000, I've had him for a long time, and one night when I was 13...I stuffed him into a tissue box to get him to shut up (was trying to sleep), and he did go to sleep, and I didn't move him until years later when my family had to move.

I just took him out, and gave him a pair of test batteries (what I mean, somewhat young batteries with half juice left), and his voice isn't audible, and his gears are REALLY loud. Anyway to fix this? I suspect he's lost his voice, and I tried emailing the automater thingy, but it didn't work, instead I got a Mailer Daemon "Failed" email.

One of the first things someone told me about furbies is when testing to see if they work, always have fresh 100% powered batteries ready at your disposal since there's always the chance you run across that sort of problem where it's not working right with batts at only half power.

Main reason is those little guys are power hungry for batteries and on a good run I had mine last around a month but nothing longer.

Try fresh batteries, and also make sure there's no battery leakage that's on the metal prongs inside the furby because battery leakage can also get inside the toy like the old tamagotchies and mess up parts inside it.

Let me know how it works out.

And feel lucky if it does work lol. My furby is a lovely tiger striped with blue eyes and it's so gorgeous but I think the programming is glitchy in it because if it goes to sleep first time you play with it, if you wake it up it'll keep going back to sleep o_O;;; comatose furbies FTL lol.

I don't think you can do anything about the loud gears. My furby baby's gears are really noisy so I tried spraying WD40 into the cracks of the ears, eyes and mouth, but that didn't work. I think the noise from the gears just come from age and useage

All of my '90's Furbies, save for one, have that comatose thing. It's like almost impossible to get them to wake up unless you do it... at least... mmm, 5-30 times? Quite a lot of times! So i don't think it's a glitch, but most Furbs are just hard to wake up lol!

MilesCastea: I'm sorry, I don't know what to do about your Furby.  Cry But definitley take Tiger Lily's advice; it's everything I would have suggested to you.

My very first furby who was all white with brown eyes never had that problem. Perhaps it was because it was first generation, like they JUST came out when I got one. I forget what generation my tiger striped one is from.

Milea: Glad it worked out for ya Smiley Would love to see pics if possible.

MilesCastea: Yep,  fresh batteries are always the way to go.  So glad he's working fine now. ^^

TigerLily: Well, my comatose Furbies were generation...*looks at Kat's Furby website* Generation 2 Furbies.  I also have a Tiger Striped Furby, and they are Gen. 2. I also have one Furby Baby that does it, but another Baby that doesn't. They are from the same Generation, but I don't know which one it is. :/

I also have a Witch Furby named Doomah (same name lol), and a Leopard Furby named Utye, who..she's a chatterbox.

Awwww Cheesy It's cute! I just recently won another furby off ebay. It's got a royal blue tummy and is light blue fur, I think it's also a millenium furby with the sash and tag still on it for fairly cheap. Cross your fingers guys I don't have the glitch comatose problem.

And motoroverheating eh? Does it randomly turn itself off then?

MilesCastea: Aww, he's cute~! ♥ My Tiger Stripe Furby's name is also Doo-Moh. Oh, he overheats a lot? That's what killed my first Furby, Koh-Koh...he overheated and x_x.  Cry I have had one other Furby overheat once, but I saved him.  Tongue
