Apparently the younger you are, the more you can hear. Go down the list of high frequency pitches on this site and basically you just select which was the last one you can hear then it tells you your results. I got 14.9 kHz and this is what I got:

Quote
You are a thirtysomething
You're a little frustrated that you can't hear all the tones that the young 'uns can but will be more than happy if it means you don't have to listen to their damn ringtones on the bus anymore.

The highest pitched ultrasonic mosquito ringtone that I can hear is 14.9kHz

o_O It's about 10 years off, but that would be caused by all my years of listening to loud music are paying off Tongue LOL.

Hehe, I'm the same as you TL!

Highest pitch - 14.9kHz. Too many concerts without earplugs me thinks. =(

But: I live by the saying: "If it's too loud: you're too old!"

Wow..... here is mine:

You are a dog
Or maybe you are a mosquito, you certainly can't be human.

The highest pitched ultrasonic mosquito ringtone that I can hear is 21.1kHz

probably why I always have my music on so low on my MP3 player, other people always stick 'em in and say they can't hear anything so I have to turn it up.... I just could not hear that last one, I kept playing it over and over.... so I only got an E. I am so getting this, it'll be useful for school. (when it starts again.) Ya know, I've always liked dogs.... Wonder how my dad -who has hearing damage from Taiwan (they set off firecrackers under your feet in narrow echoing alleys)- will do on this.....

Edit: Ah.... I just decided to see what the last one would say even though I could not hear it and:

You are a liar
You claimed to be able to hear a tone that contained absolutely no sound!

The highest pitched ultrasonic mosquito ringtone that I can hear is 22.4kHz

Woah..... so I basically heard the highest tone on there......Wait, does this mean I am part dog? Oh..... freaky.
