Thanks

Well from looking at it, the first pic shows it's pixel quality, which is a lot lower in quality than what you would find on a normal tamagotchi connection or tamagotchi plus. The infrared connecting spot on the top of your virtual pet is also the wrong colour. It's pink and not red.

I've had this kind of fake before and it isn't bad, but obviously they put a cheap microchip into a real shell since it still says bandai on the back. Tell us more about the gameplay so it'll help with determining without a shadow of douct it's not a real bandai pet please Smiley

well so far  and "N" comes up and you have to enter some name.  Then there is a small symbol of  a cordless phone on the bottom left.  There is a character that looks like it has hair and 2 small feet, 2 eyes, no nose or mouth.  It goes back and fourth on the screen.  When you first activate the character you hear birthday music.

The main giveaway was the pixels, but that programming how it starts up definitely is incorrect for a bandai virtual pet or tamagotchi connection. Sorry you got jipped.

Awww im sorry. I hope you can easily get another one! I've had it once where I got a cheap version of a guitar, then it broke, and i was disappointed b/c i spent $40 dollars on the wrong thing.

Wow that looks like one of the fakes I accidently purchased online awhile back. The picture on the website looked pretty authentic - the packaging was the same as a Japanese Plus, even down to the Bandai logo on it! When I received it in the mail I found out the logo was a mere sticker, the colors of the actual shell were off, the screen background wasn't as detailed and when I pulled the tab it played happy birthday. I felt rather upset that I was tricked.

I found out though that since it's so similar in design that it came in handy for switching some of the parts with one of my tamagotchis I modded. I'd suggest holding onto it at least for that. The screens are swappable, the buttons, and I'm sure the entire shell would house a tama if need be. Even if you were only going to use it temporarily while you paint the screen then swap it out with the 'real' screen. Just an idea in case you thought about pitching it!
