A new Tamagotchi has been released in America!
It's known as the Tamagotchi Connection Version 5 Celebrity Edition. It's nicknamed the V5.5, but I call it the V5C.

So far, there is no release date set for regions outside America, though an Australian release was hinted at.

The V5C is based on the Royal Famitama from Japan. It has the same games, items, foods, and characters. Though the V5C has some changes. It includes TWO bonus games and 1 new game (replacing a parent game from the Royal) not featured on the Royal Famitama, and several new items and foods! Also, all foods and items now include names written underneath them, like on versions 2 through 4.5.

Each V5C comes with a CD, which includes wallpapers, screensavers, games, and some video clips!

Here are the designs:

26019: Purple w/ Hearts
26020: Popcorn and Film
26021: Blue w/ Purple Star
26022: Red with Stars
26023: Hollywood Walk
26024: Rock Concert

I got the Popcorn and Film design not too long ago. The V5C is a huge improvement on the V5, in my own opinion.

Wow, I had no idea of any improvements on the V5 was coming out. =P

These designs look quite elaborate!

I dig the Rock Concert one, but they are incredibly colourful and full of patterns and shapes. Crazy.

I'd get one if they are released in Australia. :3

Wow! Yay, we finally get the Royal one. I guess they changed it to Celebrity for America since people/kids in America would probably rather be a celebrity instead of royalty.Those designs are really cute(finally they're not all hideous), and I missed the item names, now they come back!I can't wait to get one. ^^  I like the Red with Stars,  Hollywood Walk, and Rock Concert. :3

Some of those designs aren't half bad. It would be awesome if I could find these in stores.

Nice, I visit amazon quite often and didn't notice these. Thanks for posting them OM21! The designs are wonderful, Hollywood walk and the popcorn one are my faves. I love the detail that was put into these.

That was her own modification. She took the gold key from her Royal Famitama.
