Further Details on EventGet out your box of 1996-1997 virtual pets, dust'em off and put some batteries in them because we're going to go to school...OLDSCHOOL THAT IS! We haven't done an oldschool hatch in ages if at all here so this is the time to do it. From the bandai pets that started it all in Japan and North America, to other companies who followed in their footsteps with nanos, dinkie dinos, giga pets...and so many more. This hatch is to bring them out of hiding and to appreciate the earlier virtual pets for starting it all for us
Without them I don't think Bandai would be this far today.
Bonus kudos if you Hatch: Original P1 or P2 Tamagotchis be it Japanese or English, The original nanos (baby, puppy or kitty), A gigapet or a Dinkie Dino
Bonus kudos if you get the following character(s) as adults on a Tamagotchi: Mimitchi/Mametchi (since they like school lol!), and the Secret characters on the P1 and P2 models
FAQ Regarding this Chat Event Q: Does it matter that much what you hatch?
A: Nope! You're allowed to hatch and get whatever character you wish to aim for on any virtual pet your heart desires. It's just more fun and interesting to put in some extra pats on the back if you get certain characters.
Q: Do I need to restart or reset any of my virtual pets?
A: It's not needed if you don't want to. If you have babies on pause on a tamagotchi, just unpause it when hatch time comes. If you do wish to reset or start over on a virtual pet, it's completely optional.
Q: Does it matter if I hatch or not?
A: Nope! If you just want to come in and chat with others in the room during the event, that's okay too.
Q: Can I bring a friend?
A: Sure! All friends of Tamagotchi Social Sphere members are more than welcome to join us in chatting and even hatching if they choose to. Please keep in mind though that they are not exempt from the rules TSS has set out for rules in chat and the forums, so I suggest letting them know ahead of time what is and isn't allowed to be done/said in the chatroom so to prevent any chatroom drama or other issues. We want the chat to be friendly and relaxing atmosphere.
Q: What if I can hatch, but can not attend the chat event?
A: No problem! After said chat event a Hatch log will be placed for everyone who hatched in the event to post their progress. If you weren't able to attend, you can still put your hatch into the log since you were hatching with us, just not in chat too.
Q: What if I can't attend or hatch?
A: No problem! We'll just have to try again next hatch now won't we lol.
Q: I'm having trouble getting into the chatroom before the hatch date. What do I do?
A: If you are using mIRC to get into the chatroom, currently you connect using irc.everywherechat.com by typing into mIRC "/server irc.everywherechat.com" and if your username is registered you might have to put in your password. After it shows you're connected, type in "/join #Tamagotchi" and you should be in the room by then.
If you are connecting through the forum's link on the left hand side for Tamagotchi Live Chat, make sure all flash and java on your computer is up to date for the chat to work properly. Suggestion would be to make sure one or both methods work before the hatch to cut any stress from the day in question. Any problems or help required, Let me or Kat know privately and we'll try to help you out!
