The 2 other colored screen pets don't seem to take up more battery so I'm not sure if battery life will be a big issue. If it's a lit screen then yes, that will be an issue.

The biggest issue with the color tamagotchi right now is price. I have heard it's marked at around 50000 yen which is $50is here. I'm not sure people will want to pay so much for it. At that price, it might be hard to find as retailers might not want to stock it. It may end up being Japan only release if they do test marketing for the Western market and the test groups say.. no way!

But we shall have to see what the final retail price really turns out to be.  Huh

I'd be definately willing to shell out 50 bucks for one. It stinks that there isn't a market for alot of the 'Japan Only' releases. Japan gets some really cool stuff.  Undecided

And about the other color screen pets, which other one is there? And is the Miuchiz any good? I've been seeing them in bargin bins wherever I go and I'm truly tempted but the few snippits I see online say it's very buggy and not really worthwhile.  Lips Sealed

Well I guess some of these questions have possibly been answered. OM21 just posted an update in another thread, for anyone that hasn't already seen it.

Gee darn. Sooner or later these might come out in other countries, like the V5 did, but I really wish I could afford one before then. Sad  But I suppose the wait will be worthwhile. I really hope they do  send these to other countries.

True, but like some of Japan only bandai pets, chances of price eventually going down enough to find on ebay at a reasonable rate is pretty good I would think if you're a vivid collector or just looking to try something new and like shopping online.

All the virtual pets that needs higher battery power like the color tams have a stand-by option, if you dont interact with it. Maybe this tama will have the same option, or a b/w feature (or low light to save the battery power) if you dont interact with it for a while. Tha shape looks like the Tamagotchu version. I dont like that shape so much, but i'm very excited about this tama! It's a dream comes true for all of us! Wink
