My second post here on the forums. I want to thank the person (I'm sorry I forgot your username!) for answering my question regarding the different games in V4. I just wanted to share some of my thoughts and feelings on Tamagotchi here with other Tamagotchi lovers.

I got my very first Tama back in 98, it was a yellow P1 with purple trim and buttons. I later went on to collect many more Tamas, all P2s and eventually a blue Angelgotch. During those times as a caretaker I always felt a special connection to Tamas. Logically I knew they were little electronic toys but...a huge part of me regarded them as something more. They were with me through so many times..be they good or bad. The excitement of them growing up and changing and the sadness of their departure.

I am in my mid 20s now and with the acquiring of a V4 (from eBay) I find all of those old feelings back and renewed. I care for this lil guy as I did my older Tamas. He's always at my side. Whether it be sitting on my laptop as I play World of Warcraft, or on my knee when watching a movie or TV. My partner is very understanding to my caretaking and does not make fun of or belittle me for it in any way. He even asissted me in finding the perfect Tama.

As I had stated in my first post I have been a long time fan of mimitchi.com and always came away from my visits with such a positive feeling because I knew there was at least someone out there over the "recommend" age of Tamagotchi who felt as strongly as the little guys as I did and do. Thank you so much Mimitchi for your services to the Tamagotchi community. I know they aren;t exactly the "in thing" now, but I know many Tama lovers and caretakers still exist. That is why I decided to sign up with this wonderful forum to share my ideas and experiences with my Tamagotchi.

And I apologize ahead of time..I can be a bit long winded at times. I just wanted to share some of my thoughts and feelings about Tamagotchi with you all. ^_^

Well spoken! Cheesy I enjoyed reading your post for I was in the same boat as a kid. I always loved virtual pets in general, even since 6th grade. Something about them be it Nano or Tamagotchi or Dinkie Dino or whatever just begged me to play with it. Now being 22 going on 23 this coming march, I have over 100 virtual pets (majority bandai tama-pets) and of course planning to get more!

When I decided on collecting virtual pets and experiencing as many as possible, mimitchi.com was also my first place where I heard about osutchi and mesutchi, as well as the oceangotchi and morino. I also learned to appreciate the oldschool tamas a lot more too. I'm currently running 2 V4's, 4 V2's and 1 nano baby I recently got Smiley and enjoying every minute of it.

Also shameless plug but what the hey lol. I hope you can come to the valentine hatch I'm planning Smiley It's awesome seeing new people there!

That's awesome! I didn't mention in my post but I also had a nano baby and a giga pet frog, dino, and kitty. I think my 2nd favorite was my nano baby. The Giga Pets were fun but really really needy! Mesu & Osu I had always wanted, but never could afford the prices on eBay and right now money is tight. I was lucky to find a used V4 in perfect condition for under 8 dollars. I made sure to do my eBay research (checking their feedback etc). Sadly over the years I either gave my old Tamas away or they broke. I still have my very 1st P1 (the yellow with purple trim). Unfortunately it seems to be a bit worn from age. I'm having my boyfriend look at it beings he's a miracle worker with electronics. So hopefully he can get it up and working before the V-Day hatching. I've ALWAYS wanted to participate in a group hatching. Where do they take place and how exactly does it work?

Gigas I learned quickly require a more advanced care and even moreso at the same time, less demand to get their health to go up because if the point system they have in place. Once I figured it out, first time running my own giga pet kitty it lived an extra week as opposed to it's 14 day live ^_^

And the Osu's and Mesu's, if you look in Jason's store he's been rather reasonable with pairs selling, and a store known as Japan deals sells those guys pretty cheaply alone so when you got extra money, look into it!

Nanos on ebay are SOOOO expensive these days. My purple nano baby cost me a bit over $60 Canadian. Took some haggling to get the price to go down.

And all info on the group hatching is in the events section here: http://mimitchi.com/vpets/index.php?topic=1608.0

I hope you can come Cheesy

I remember after a time I found it too difficult to care for the gigapet kitty so I gave it to my mom. She got the thing to 100 yrs old! Shortly after it passed away. She was so distraught over it she cried.

I miss my Nano Baby sometimes. But somehow the battery door cracked and broke during a battery change.

I have often heard of Jason's store here on the forums or in Mimitchi's old logs. I may have to look into it when I get some extra cash.

The group hatch sounds like fun! I can access the chat through the site correct? I don't use Mirc anymore. But I would definately be interested in participating, even if just to come and chat!

Yep, it can be accessed on the left sidebar on the "Tamagotchi Live Chat" Link. All other questions regarding the hatch and chat event are in the FAQ's in my event topic Smiley

And wow kudos to your mom for playing with a giga pet and makin it live so long! Would of loved to see a picture of that lol. Nano babies are a bit pricey but if you can definitely get one again. This nano baby I got online is working out great Cheesy

Yeah I don't know how she did it! I remember every morning she'd take it to the vet for a checkup and give it a bath first thing in the morning. That seemed to keep its health up. But then after it had turned 100 its health just kept dropping despite her efforts. It was just its time to go I guess.

I'll get right on reading the FAQ on it. I'm pretty sure I will be able to make it, it sounds like too much fun to pass up!

Btw what is Karma? I see it next to my username. It was at 2 yesterday and now it is at 1. Is it some sort of rating system?

Wow. I thought I did an awesome job alone with the extra week of life I got from my first playthrough. I had it's health and overall score at 100 majority of the time. Tell your mom for me she rocks even more!
