Okay, bad title, but I'm lurker who has recently registered two day ago and has 7 posts in post count, while on the other hand I saw someone on the boards with 42 posts in the post count  and he/she is a newbie and I'm lurker.
What's up with that?

It changes based on post count. As you can see now, you are a newbie instead of a lurker. =)
