Anyone have a favorite website that chose to do something funny?

I couldn't think of anything to do here that wouldn't be predictable. And I figured if I even joked about closing the forum that with the small audience we have there'd be no one left to post tomorrow.. hehe! Just kidding btw

I didn't see anything unusual at Tamagotchi.com

WoW did two april fools jokes. The first one is here:

I don't see anything at Neopets but.. I'm there so infrequently that I could have overlooked it. The site looks so different than I ever recall.


Anyone actually pull a prank?

I didn't do any today, I honestly forgot about it until I saw the atari 2600 thing from Blizzard.

Once when i was younger I made double paned wall of newspaper, secured it to my sisters bedroom door entrance, making it perfectly door shaped. I filled the paper wall 'center' with crumpled up newspapers all the way to the top.

So basically she opens the door and theres a wall of paper, she tears into it and piles of it fall onto her. I think it worked out okay. She was not so impressed as she got up late that day and needed to head out fast heh =)

At school all sorts of fun was unleashed..

The school sent everyone a letter to tell us that the school year had been extended by 3 weeks.
My friend RickRoll'd the class in the lab, and got about 30 seconds in before being told to put her headphones back in.
Changed the date on the board to 'June 54'.
There's a guy who had a shirt that said something to the effect of "Now Accepting: Hot Girlfriends", and so of course... we wrote him a long 'Hot Girlfriend Application' and signed it as one of the guys in our class.
Hid all the chalkboard supplies (chalk, eraser) so nothing could be done about the large 'Big Brother Is Watching You' we wrote on it.
Tried to recycle someone's chair.

All of the featured videos on YouTube just RickRoll you (direct you to a video of 'Never Gonna Give You Up' by Rick Astley).
Wikipedia had a rather humourous featured article.

Neopets's joke this year was kinda lame, and it's hard to find unless you spend a lot of time on the site. =/

Really quiet today since I didn't have to work but kind of glad nothing happened. Honestly growing up in school pranks were cruel or stupid and made me feel stupid. April fools a year or so ago wasn't great either since I thought the place I DJ at online was going to be shut down and I was extremely upset about the news and extremely tired because the owner coaxed me to stay up late after DJing to read the announcement (when I had a test in a class the next day, still in college at the time) so I wasn't happy to find out it was a "joke". Done in poor taste

Never seen any good come out of it in my opinion but as long as others have fun with it, it's cool with me Sorry if I went on a rant there lol.

Yeah, I'm guessing the Neo Buddies thing is the AFD joke. I got Bug Eye McGee(ugh! creepy!)... I don't want him stalking me.0.o'  It says for 'select users', so maybe, Kat, since you don't play that often, you aren't a 'select user' that will be participating in this joke/NeoBuddy thing. Also, everyone who plays Neo, my main account is unicatzpony, but Neomails and things are accepted on cornyuni18.  I don't play much anymore, maybe once a month, give or take a bit. 

edit- Kat, you may want to put those Fuzzles in a Gallery(feature from '05-'06-'07 ish), it's now against the rules to have dislplay items in shops. It won't really matter if you don't since you don't go on much,though...

Mimitchi - Yeah, ever since Item Galleries became available it's been illegal to use a Shop as a Gallery.

I know it's a bit after April Fool's Day, but I had a positive ball.

I was awoken by water sloshing all over my face courtesy of my husband. Yay, fun. I then got a phone call from Ama telling me that I'd won the lottery. I ate all of our choc box and put paper in the wrappers, too.
