wow you got him! Is he as lifelike as the videos show? Or more like a toy? How exciting! We've been talking about this guy since the opening of this board almost.

I guess you can kind of compare it to a furby in that it's an animatronic pet, but from what I hear it does soooo much more. I guess we'll just have to wait and see when BC gets into it.

Oh, Kat and Hanna i think you should be crazy about it. I love Pleo since i saw thw first demo video in 2006 Shocked (Kat knows how crazy i was for furbies, and most of my passion was inspired from her logs!)
I was lucky to saw Pleo in september/07 for a short review for my blog, and finally i'm lucky again to be the proud parent of Glen

I think Pleo it's really a kind of robot for all, it's not expensive like Aibo and not cheap as Robosapiens or other WowWee robots. I'm really surprised from what he can do, lots of dino-verses, different movements and lovely sounds... maybe you can't play games with him except tug-of-war (maybe more games with the future updates? i dont know), but if you loved Furby (first gen. of 1998!), but you want a guy who can do more and express emotion daily, Pleo is the interactive pet you're waiting for!

I've updated my pleo and you and the other members can find more here (i'm junkroxy on the pleo forum):
