Today we have changed the forum theme to a new default theme. The theme is called Epsilon and it is brighter and lighter than the previous Theme Neptune.

While we have made this the default theme for the forum, you may change back to the old theme if you liked it better. You can do this by going to your Profile, Look & Layout Preferences and clicking the Change next to the "Current Theme". Select Neptune for the older original forum theme.

This change is pretty big, but we are hoping that you will give it a chance and enjoy the change! There is a chance that there are bugs that need to be worked out. If you find any bugs, please let me know via PM - thanks!



Additional Updates:
*The forum was upgraded to the newest version from SMF 1.1.4.

*Google Talk field was added to the list of popular chats you can implement in your profile settings.

*3 new avatar sets added: Anime, AngryBunny and Dogvatars. Check them out in your profile settings!


Known Bugs:
*Avatar's need background color fixes

*Doesn't work well with Opera. Opera users should consider using the original Neptune theme.

I use Opera to view the forum, and it's spazzing. Also, all our own smilies still ahev a drak background.

Ahh Opera. The one browser I didn't test. I dunno what I can do about that really, except suggest using the original theme. I have no idea what Spazzing out means =)

The avatars are on the list of changes still need to be made, thanks for noting it.

All of the images are broken.

Also, replied-to forum topics don't seem to be moving up.

Not sure why that is happening. We aren't seeing anything like that here.

Is the original theme for you working just fine?

Now I think about it, no. I checked Opera's security settings, but it's loading the smileys and avatars fine and it's set to show images. I'm not a HTML girl, so I can't really tell you what it might be.

I changed you to Neptune - it is not working at all for you anymore? The images aren't loading?

We didn't really change anything that would effect the site like that. I find it all very odd, since this install has actually been online for about 3 months, in all that time I've used it and the original theme back and forth for personal testing.

Such confusion, I have no idea what's wrong. Any other Opera users having this trouble? Or any other users at all?

Now it's working for me. I'll try switching myself over to Epsilon and see what happens.

Nope, it's not helping. I'll stay on the Neptune theme for the moment. Much the pity though, I really like this new theme.
