HELLO everyone!

Well, i just bought my very first tamagotchi (V4) yesterday, and I started playing it immediately. It was fine the last time I checked it, which was around 5am this morning. When I finally got up at 10:30am, I took a look at it and I realized the screen went BLANK. but when I pressed button A, there were sounds on it.

So I checked the manual and click button B, and A to "DOWNLOAD" to retain my tama though I couldn't see what it said on the screen. I ran out immediately to purchase a new battery thinking it went flat. (what are the chances huh. buying it just the day before.)

Got a new battery and tried it straight away and I found out the problem still persisted. So I went back and told the shop owner and she managed to let me try another new one, and AGAIN, the screen stayed dead. So she refunded me and I assumed the problem were her batteries.

Not giving up, I walked further to the nearest mall and tried getting another battery, and sadly I came to a conclusion it must be my tama. But I didn't give up and walked to yet another shop to get another battery. Yeah, you should know what happened.

What should I do??
I'm so so so upset!
Should I return it to Toys R Us & do an exchange? I bought it from there. Sigh. Now I have to travel all the way back there.

Have anyone of you faced this problem before?

This is the first I heard of for the V4's. I got quite a few of them myself and none of them ever did that. Not even the one my friend got me for my 21st birthday, or my first one which was a new year's present.

Perhaps you might have better luck with getting a V4 online like on ebay, because majority of mine came from there with no problems.

Hm, strange. It's probably the Tama- you could do the exchange at Toys 'R' Us and if THAT one doesn't work, get a refund and buy one somewhere else. Also: did you press reset in the back? Though I'm 99% sure there's some internal problem with the Tamagotchi, I have had some Tamas do that and resetting fixes it(changing the battery wont, even though that resets it... 0.o)
