Carrying Your 'Gotchis with You

Tamagotchi shells are made of plastic and are often times coated in paint. Plastic becomes scratched, and paint chips away or rubs off. During the every day use and transportation of tamagotchi, their pretty little shells end up looking in need of a touch up... but that would be hard to do for most.
The reason I'm posting this is because of the new-used P2 I won in an e-bay auction, it's pre-loved, and it's got quite a few little gashes and scratches on its silver surface.
I was wondering, how do you carry around your tamagotchis? Do they go into a specific pocket of your coat/jeans/purse, or do you just keep them wherever the moment allows? Perhaps you keep them with one of the nice little 'Gotchi Gear lanyards or pouches released by Bandai, maybe something of your own creation? I know that there's not much a person can do in the way of preventing the paint from wearing off, but I want my tamagotchis to look their best, if possible.
How do you carry your tamagotchis when you take them with you? Are you as particular as I am about their shells' appearances?

Awesome topic Rollercoaster
When I have more than one running, I generally either keep my little guys with me in this green furry pouch thing my ex-brother in law got for me when he was in Japan. It can carry about 4-5 at a time depending on their size (oldschool tamagotchis obviously a bit more than the newer ones like connections). For the most part when stored correctly, they do not get scuffed much. The ones with metallic ends to them you have to keep an eye out more so they don't scratch the screens. Other than that it's fairly easy method to use to carry around.
If I'm not using that pouch I prefer to just leave them at home in the computer room either sleeping or on pause. Least I know they are okay where they are then.
Right now I only have one running which is my TMGC+C. I brought it to work with me to keep me amused during night shift when call volume is fairly dead. When more co-workers show up though come 6am I will have to put it to sleep and keep it in my purse.

That sounds like a pretty good method of keeping them. I'm thinking about trying to make some kind of little carrying pouch for mine (woo, adventures in sewing) or find something suitable to carry it in. I was thinking about getting a lanyard for it, but then I would have to be careful about letting it swing free and bump into stuff, so a little pouch seems like the best way to go.
Oh, and I hope that when I have to get a job (all too soon
), I'll have enough time to be able to keep my tamagotchi unpaused during work.

Yeah I took a break during the summer from virtual pets because of looking for work (and work itself once I got employed again in October), but depending on the place you might be able to swing around bringing it with you.
I tried my hand at making a bag for holding virtual pets in and the main problem there was I had to put them in a certain way else they WOULD scratch screens and all from each other, and with putting more than 4 in it at a time it wasn't much fun so I stopped using it. You should totally post pictures if you do manage to create a nice pouch

Ok, so if the snow ever melts, and I can get out of here to get some supplies, I'll get some fabrics and such to try and craft a home-made carrying pouch for Tamas. I'll have to take into account the different sizes of the shells when I'm making it, though. For future reference, TigerLily, what are the dimensions of a TMGC+C?
If my plans are a success, I'll post pictures on this forum, and maybe even the plans to make one, if anyone else wanted to try. I've never made something like this before, but it can't be too hard, right? >.<

Not sure, but it's thicker and bigger than a connection. I'm sure you could probably google the dimensions. Can't wait to see the results

I never buy anything silvery-plastic, they always get scratched up something awful. I keep my Tamas in whichever pocket doesn't have my phone in it at the time.
