So, if anyone's been reading my logs, you'll notice that my new care strategy is to feed mainly snacks instead of playing games and let the weight soar.  However, when the pair hit twenty-five pounds as infants I began to wonder if this might be harmful to them...long story short, I've stabilized their weight at twenty for the time being, just to be safe, but I need to know if there would be any bad consequences from me letting their weight go totally unchecked.  Would they get toothaches?  Become worse characters?  (Not necessarily a bad thing, but....)  Could it kill them?

Thanks for your help!

If it's a v5 I believe it will lead to your next generation possibly being the "large family". (Is that what they call it?) The instruction manual for it says:

"In V5, depending on how you care for your family, it might become somewhat eccentric. These types of families are the Ninja Family, Large Family or Petite Family. These families can appear if you don't care for your Tamagotchis well. Some example of poor care include  ignoring them, feeding them too much, or not feeding them enough.

If it's not a v5, then I believe you'll get one of the characters that comes from neglect, though it might not do anything. (It will definitely not kill it. They might get toothaches) Interesting experiment, the result should be intriguing.

By experiencing first hand, I got the large family on my first generation of my japanese famitama, and basically you get it by overfeeding it past the 5 hearts as adults. Obviously they don't seem to change into osumotchis as teens or toddlers or even babies, but as adults you will get them if you over do it, so only fill up the hearts as needed and play lots of games Smiley

My Tamas are a V3 and a V2, so I don't have the "large" family to worry about.  So...that means everything will be okay?  Alright, thanks a million!

Weird, it seems whenever I overfeed my Tamas I get the worst characters... you can't kill them but they will probably get toothaches. If you don't mind bad characters, it won't matter, though.(This is a sort of older topic, but just to inform everyone else...)

I've seen that too, but I've also seen that feeding them until they are about to explode don't seem to affect growth too. I recall with a P1 and P2's they'd be 99 pounds sometimes or 99 units because I got lazy playing the games somedays and I STILL got some awesome characters like mametchi and mimitchi. I dunno.
