Help, I'm so confused! I have a version 5 and I can't even tell how old the tamagotchis are. They just grow at random times.

Anyway my real question...I originally grew 3 characters on here, 2 of the girls grew up to have the same name and looked the same but they weren't twins to begin with, the other one was a boy. I married one of the girls and now my original 3 characters have gone away, what happened to the other 2? The girl I married had 3 new characters with her new hubby lol! So now only the 3 new babies are on the screen, and now when I go into the icon to check their hunger and all of that it says generation 2 and shows the new family but not the other 2 characters I originally had.

Oh also. Is it good or bad to keep feeding them? They always seem to be hungry ever half hour, their hearts go down fast even though I feed them all the time.

Well to address the first question, I think it's up to your imagination really. You married off one of your daughters and the remaining siblings would of probably gone on their own as well perhaps to start their own families. That's my guess. You start anew on your next generation.

As for feeding them, there's no problem up to adulthood feeding them but once they hit adults I wouldd suggest only feeding as many empty hearts you see instead of usually filling all hearts (including invisible ones like on the previous versions) as you might keep getting osumotchis out of your adults. You get osumotchis when you overfeed adults too much. Just something to keep in mind down the road.

I have another question.

How many generations will it go up to? You know how it starts at 1 then when you have one married and it has babies it goes to generation 2. Also, how do you tell how old they are and how do they get a job and go to school? When I go to the v5 expo when you go to the job thing it just lets you play a game, so I'm confused. Thanks!

I think it does the same as previous versions of tamagotchi connections and goes up to 99 then it seems to get stuck at that number lol. Someone would have to get there to find out Wink

You can usually tell how old a group of siblings are pretty easily if you think back to Japanese entama and uratama Logic. From Baby to toddler it's 1 hour. From Toddler form to Teenager It's a few days and from Teen to adult it's also a few days more. About 72 hours after becoming adults, the adults will then be able to use the matchmaker or connect to another Famitama/Familitchi to marry. Rough estimate I know but it's a very similar pattern you see in entamas and uratamas if you ever raised one. Connections usually had a shorter span of growth.

As for jobs, I don't think there are any on the V5/famitama. The main focus is to raise a family and I think Tama Expo just helps you get items and money along the way by playing games. V4's, V4.5's, entamas and uratamas had the jobs ability and tamagotchi connections before them were based on raising alone as well as items.

Hope I didn't confuse you lol.

Nope that made sense, thank you!
I just bought a v4.5 and v4 on Ebay so they will be able to have jobs? If so do you go to tamatown to get them or just on the tamagotchi itself?

You get your job on the Tama itself, you don't have to go to TamaTown...in fact, when you get a job, you can't do anything job related except go into the office building(unless BanDai updated it, I haven't gone on in months...).

Rose: Really? On a V5? Don't you get three babies every time? Maybe it's just because I got three babies on generations one and two. Huh.
