I'm sure you all know how great it feels to catch your Tama with little stink lines on screen, and quickly put him or her onto the potty - I usually end up gibbering with delight and air-punching like Rocky when I manage it...
Anyway, it's also pretty disappointing when you miss it, or when you're just picking your Tama up and it does its business in front of you - when you have a Tama and its baby on screen together which means no stink lines at all and virtually no opportunity of catching the poop early unless you notice the subtle change in the Tama's expression which is hard in a baby!
I have discovered something rather cool about Famitamas.
Every so often they play a cheery little tune and an icon appears over one of their heads (a musical note and a question mark are the ones I've spotted - they also periodically raid the refridgerator, SO cute) - when this happens you scroll to the sixth icon, the little face with the speech/thought bubble above it and pick one of three icons to entertain your little brood.
Crucially, Famitama characters ALWAYS need the toilet about 20 seconds after this event. Just keep your eyes fixed on the screen, and what's great is all three of them turn away in disdain as if one of them has farted! This is MUCH easier to see than on a regular Tama, even though there's no stink lines. Who knows, maybe they wouldn't fit on the screen?
Also another nice touch is that Famitamas tend to poop in the background of the screen, or the top level, so that they don't have to be near their own mess. Very dignified Tamagotchis!
