I have the yellow pet v5 and I was fooling around with the key decoration.

Some doors have a lock that can be opened from the outside if you just put a coin in the lock thingymabob and turn the coin. (The "lock thingymabob" I'm talking about is sometimes a circle thingy on the doorknob with this groove in the middle of it.)

Well I tried doing that but using my v5's key instead of a coin.

... It worked.

Yes, I could lock and unlock a door- with a plastic key!

Here is a little diagram if you don't understand my explanation too well (I don't blame you if you don't, I can barely understand it myself). But then again maybe my little diagram won't help either because I just drew it quickly on Paint. Anyway here is the picture:

And a picture of my v5:

Oh I so get what you mean! or I didn't exactly untill I saw the diagram you drew. That's cool, so you've actually been able to use it as a real key. I have to say I'm a little disappointed though, I thought you had found some awesome thing to do with the key, like some secret thing with the tama. :p but it's still very cool

There's really no "secret" use to/with the key that comes along the Japanese and Asia(AU, too?) Famitamas.
If there is, just imagine the uproar us Europeans and the Americans would cause just because our tama's comes with that ever so annoying ballchain thingy and the keychain but no key.

I don't really think BoJ would be that stupid, nor BoA.
Unless, and only if, the Connections & Connextions V5.5 comes out with a key. Only then would it be possible.

Long story short: BoJ comes up with different ideas and BoA spreads them around(and/or completely change/"downgrade" the item- apparently the Japanese kids are smarter than the rest).
If it doesn't make it to the US it won't make it anywhere else. Wink

Onto the subject: That worked for me too, Keyley. XD!!

I agree with you Seraphim. Maybe we should e-mail Bandai America saying "It would be reeeeaaaaalllllllyyy nice if we got a Deka Tamagotchi, a Tamastation, Tamagotchi School, Jukutama, Tama DVDs, detailed instruction booklets (instead of the sheets of paper), nice looking keychains (I kinda feel sorry for Americans getting the same kind of keychain for all the versions, instead of getting a different kind of keychain/strap for every verion), a website with lots of information that is updated regularly and lots of Tamagotchi merchandise (hint! hint! hint!)"

But I doubt they'd listen, because they're "not supposed to accept suggestions from the public."

I have another idea for the key but I haven't tried it yet. Maybe if you stuck felt or something on the underside of the key you could use it for a screen wiper for your Tamagotchi, a mobile phone, a PSP or a Nintendo DS?
