That answers my questions.  Smiley I look forward to giving karma out but since this is my first day here I'll take it slow gathering up posts in order to do that. You really have something great going on here.

I actually like this system better than TT's personally. Sure theirs is more colourful but this one just makes sense. Loving the forums so far Mimitchi Cheesy

Yes- I agree!! I was a member of TT, but then I discovered mimitchi.com and immedietly switched- go mimitchi.com lol!!! The karma system at TT is much more complicated than this one here- this one is easier to understand and there are some really great people giving full explanations!!
I still sometimes use TT though, as it can have some interesting tama facts as well as all the codes for the versions etc.
I do still prefer mimitchi.com - it has some great administrators giving loads of advice (which TT doesn't really have lol!!) and some really friendly and helpful people on the boards (TT does have this but not as much!) - that is why I love mimitchi.com!!

Yeah I can see why you think it's complicated. TSS's system allows staff as well as the community to participate determining who's posts are good and who's are bad. I think that's why it's been so successful.

Then if your posts are worthwhile, members of the board will increase your karma. If something like negative karma will depress you, I'm sorry but you may be in for some depression here. Unless we see a deliberately malicious pattern of karma decreases (or an unwarranted increase in karma) we won't step in to make alterations. To do so would harm the whole purpose of it existing in the first place.

I do agree with TL013 here, TamaTalk's Karma system does seem a bit complicated, this is a simple and fun system we have on TSS. =)

Karma modification requires 50 posts or more now, as of 07/13/07.
