Now that my first tama left and I have her baby, all my souvenirs are gone except for my maple leaf (which was received after she was born) and my 2 movie posters (which i got a looonnng time ago before she was born). What gives??

Yes, the adult Tamagotchi takes a lot of souvenirs away with it.

The souvenirs that you keep are generally the souvenirs that you get through hard work (donating to the king or going on travel). Though they aren't the only souvenirs that stay.

I really think the car, wedding dress and gold disk should stay. Usually my generations only last from 7-8 days, and it's just a bit silly to have souvenirs that only come on certain days of the month because unless you cheat or raise your Tamagotchi until it becomes an oldie, or have your adult for a bit longer, you won't get all three day-specific souvenirs. Though souvenirs don't really worry me.
