2/3/2008  (This is yesterday's log for those who are wondering)
I currently have two of my Tamas out, my orange and rainbows Uratama and my sunflowers V4.

My Uratama is a Ura Furawatchi named Izumi and her daughter, a Ura Memeputchi.  Actually, I checked the name's characters on my chart and her name is Isuni...  It's been so long since I played with my Uratama, though I'm sure her name was supposed to be Izumi.  Which means either A: I put in the wrong characters;  B:  I meant to name her Isuni;  or C:  When the batteries died it switched the symbols around and made Izumi into Isuni.  If anyone knows if Isuni is actually a Japanese word, please post.  They've gotten sick twice today because I haven't been taking the best care of them.  They are currently running off of the battery from my blue V3.

My Sunflower V4 is a very sweet little Zukyukotchi named Aden.  His current occupations are being a bus driver and waiting for the Matchmaker, although she probably won't come until tomorrow (which is actually today as I'm writing this a day late).

I had out Abby, my Marumimitchi, on my orange V2.  Her buttons seemed a little unresponsive, especially the A button.  I was playing with the A button trying to get it warmed up, just skimming the icons as she floated around the screen.  The happy sun randomly appeared, then her battery died.  I seem to get odd glitches like that when the batteries are running low.

Last year my blue V3's batteries were running low (although I didn't know that until it was over).  I hadn't checked on James (the Masktchi) and his daughter in a long time so I pulled it out and they were dying (or possibly very sick... I forget which) but either way I reset downloaded and they went back to just being sick except that instead of Masktchi he was a Bill...  And he had two empty hearts floating over his head like he'd just swallowed a Love Potion.  I pressed A until I got over to the medicine icon, but I must have clicked B too late because the screen just became the clock screen (no scrolling at all), then that was scrolling to the clock screen.  Then the no battery sign came up.  After I changed the batteries, James remained a Bill, but then became a Masktchi again sometime the next morning.  He is a Masktchi on Lizzy's parents list too...  I'm not sure that that's exactly what happened, but it should give you an idea of how weird that glitch was.

Today's log will be on a separate post, just to differentiate the two.  Comments are not only welcome, but highly encouraged as long as they are kind...  Also, beware as I may not post every day or may just stop the log altogether...

Izumi left last night.  I woke her daughter up early and named her Ruki, then fed and played with her for about five minutes before pausing her with the clock screen for most of the day.  I unpaused her around two hours ago and fed and played with her until she evolved into a Hanekotchi.  As a baby she got sick in the middle of the humor game, so I purposely quit and gave her a shot.  Of course that made her weight go down and I couldn't play any more until I fed her again.  I forgot how easy-going the Uratama babies are... quite nice!  Her current stats are 18 humor, 10 gorgeous, 0 passion.  I'm going for Purimatchi, which means that poor Ruki has to put up with my futile attempts to win the humor game.  With her I still haven't beaten 30 of the...  sock/snake/things, though I did it a few times with Izumi...

Aden was supposed to get the Matchmaker tonight but didn't.  Oh well, I can always try again tomorrow.  If he has a baby boy I would probably name him Xanni, and a girl would probably be Hazie or Hazel.  I had him awake all day with me and he was very good about not being needy at all-  actually I probably only fed him somewhere around five times today, plus a few times after I unpaused Ruki.

Ruki is doing pretty well on her first day without Izumi of being unpaused all day.  She isn't too needy, although I will say that 'not being too needy' is not the same as not being needy at all.  She dropped two hunger and one happy heart at one time when I forgot to check on her for a while, but other than that she's been doing fine.  She counted to three twice for her teacher and was very proud of herself when she did.  I'm hoping she'll become a teen soon, and a Ura Young Furawatchi like Izumi was at that!  Not as though I'm too impatient for her to change, Hanekotchi is such a cute character!  I'm very pleased with the baby and child stages on the Uratama.

Aden is also doing well, especially at the 'not being needy at all!' part.  The Matchmaker came for him a little while ago and I didn't want to be picky so I said yes when she brought a Hanatchi.  They had a little girl together.  Her name will be either Hazie, Hazel or possibly Mica...  Or maybe something else if I find a good name between now and when Aden leaves.  I'm hoping she can become a Mimitchi!

Ruki still hasn't evolved...  She should very soon.  Other than that she's been happy, healthy and otherwise on good behavior.

At time of revision, Ruki has evolved!  She scared me when the music played before evolution, I'm still not used to the different music.  She turned into the 'good teen' Ura Young Memetchi.  Not quite as cute as Ura Young Furawatchi, but still adorable!

Aden's still here, enjoying his last day of being on Earth.  I still haven't decided what to call his daughter, it's between Hazie, Hazel, Mica, and Zanna....  The list keeps on growing !  He got his second round of job offers today, but I turned them down when the judges turned him down on the banking job.  They got sick once today, but a shot of medicine made them all better!

I ended up taking out Olivia/Mlivia's battery (which works, but I'm not sure how good it is) and moving it around the Tamas with dead batteries to make sure that they all worked.  I had a few scares, once when I almost lost the battery and once when my first Tama ever wouldn't turn on.  After pressing reset it turned on fine.  I really wanted to raise one of my V2 baby Tamas, but my first two Tamas MUST have my pink one being one generation ahead of the yellow one.  Weird, I know, but they've been that way since I hatched the yellow one and that's the way I like it.

I ended up keeping on my blue waves V3.  It contains Lizzy, the Bill, a 7 year old, 14th gen girl and her son.  She should leave tonight if my memory serves correctly.  Her son will be named Xanni, and I will name Aden's daughter Zanna to go with it.  That solves my naming problem!

Note:  I will most likely be editting with new info on and off all day.

Anyways, Ruki is doing fine.  Nothing really exciting has happened since her evolution and nothing exciting probably will happen until she evolves into her adult form.  'Till then, she'll be a cute, cuddly Ura Young Memetchi!

Aden left last night, so now I'm raising his daughter.  As mentioned in my previous entry her name is Zanna.  She was pretty well cared for as a baby Shirotsubutchi, but her hunger hearts dropped two on two occasions...  I believe the Uratama babies are much easier to care for .  Anyways, she's now a Puchitchi? Petitchi?  (The thing that looks like a slimmed down Harutchi anyways).  I'm hoping for a Mame Family teen so that I can get a Mimitchi, but a Furawatchi would be nice too...

Lizzy still hasn't left Xanni.  They've been doing okay this morning, although I believe they are probably more needy than my Uratama...  Maybe not....  (Common trend here with the Uratama being less needy?  )

Okay, so I could have editted my previous post to include this, but I didn't feel like it.  New Tamas deserve a new post.  (Yes, I said new Tamas!)  I got three of them when we were shopping, bringing my total number of Tamas up to 12.  I was actually looking for Tama Batteries and one of the new Digimon Digivices, but instead I got three new Tamas (and some batteries).  The first store had a few Tamas (I didn't buy any though...), the second store had V4.5's for a little less than half off, and the third had something even better.

First off, say hello to Hazel, Lorel, and Luna.  They are the three Tamas on my new VERSION 5!  I wasn't intending to start the Tama up, but I wanted to see what it was like.  Hazel is the eldest, a little female who evolved into a Tororotchi from a Futabatchi, and who apparently likes refrigerators.  Lorel is the only boy, a Mousetchi who evolved from a Mimifuwatchi.  Luna is the youngest, a little Belltchi who evolved from a Omutuchi.  The beginning was a little rough-  I couldn't figure out the games so I fed them snacks .  Now I can actually play the games (sort of) although I've never won an entire game.  They're a blended family with 0% bonding right now.  If anyone has any tips for the V5's, I could certainly use some!  As is, I've already disciplined them twice when I shouldn't have and given them medicine when I shouldn't have ...  I'm still having mixed feelings on the V5, partially because I don't like all the jumping around...

V5 edit:  I ended up disciplining them when they needed something to do and randomly selecting the paper, they folded it into a lovely airplane.  I've won both of the games now and bought a hotdog with their earnings.  I'm still getting used to seeing them all eat one giant piece of food above their heads.  Three observations I have made:
1.  I love the little animation of them before they go to bed and the bath one is nice too.
2.  There is only one sleepy 'Z' for the three characters, but on the other Tamas if you have more than one character (baby and parent) there are 2 'Z's'
3.  It seems a little odd to me that if you catch a Tama before it 'goes' and it sits on the toilet, the other two actually watch it.  They don't go off screen or even turn around.  They actually face it as it does it's thing ....

Don't forget to say hello to Calwyn (spelled Clwyn on the actual Tama) and Elphie (spelled Elfie on the actual Tama).  Calwyn is a Hitodetchi on my turquoise, floral print V4.5.  I've noticed that she always seems to be a fraction of a second ahead of my other V4.5 and her beeps are a little higher too.  Elphie is a Kuribotchi (did Bandai have to bring them back?) on my peacock feather V4.5, she's a fraction of a second slower, with a tiny bit lower pitched beeps, and her skill points are more spread out than Calwyn's.  It's not that I mind Elphie being a Kuribotchi, but I got them all the time on my V2's...

As for the two V4.5's, I REALLY didn't intend to start them up.  However, here they are.  They've been as synchronized as possible from the beginning.  Both girls have been on the exact same schedual, so they have the same amount of Gotchi Points, the same total number of skill points, and weigh in at the same number of pounds.  Playing Climb on two different Tamas at the same time is NOT as easy as it sounds .

V4.5 edit:  Calwyn and Elphie are no longer sychronized.  Elphie got a snake in the mail and Calwyn got a heart...  It also turns out that Elphie is better at tug-of-war, but Calwyn won Climb so it's semi-even.

Ruki is fine as always.  She shouldn't evolve for a while yet, but then again I am hoping for an early evolution.

Zanna evolved earlier this morning into... a... Ringotchi!  Yay, Mame group characters!  That means she should become a Mimitchi since I've been raising up her intelligence points (partially because Mimitchi's are cute and the name Zanna really seemed to fit one and partially because I enjoy playing Shape).  She's got 35 in Intelligence right now, which should be enough, but I've still got about one and a half days before she evolves to play some more Shape....

Xanni was unpaused moments ago.  He's still a baby as after Lizzy left, his life went something like this- get woken up early, named, get fed four meals, get fed a cupcake, paused, set back the time.  I'll edit this when he evolves, which will be a little while.

Hazel, Lorel, and Luna haven't evolved into teen states yet, but from the glimpses I've caught of V5 logs it takes them a while longer to evolve into teens.  I've been playing tons of games with them, trying to get their Gotchi Points up.  I've had their sound off all day, so I might have missed a discipline.  They're still 0% bonded ...

Calwyn evolved first, like always.  She's now a Ura Young Marotchi, which means that if I raise her passion points I should get a Ura Zukyukotchi if V4.5's follow any of the logic Uratamas do...  She's gotten two gifts from the king-  a plant and a diamond ring-  as well as a few robbers.  I know for a fact that I missed disciplining her once and on top of that accidentally praised her when she called for no reason.  Sorry Calwyn!

Elphie evolved second, although it took her a while longer because she accidentally became paused in my pocket at one point in the day.  She is now a Ura Young Furawatchi, which is good-  they are so cute when they come up to the screen!  She currently has the most passion points and I don't think I'll purposefully change that, although I don't really mind what character I get with her...  She got lots of snakes and/or poop in the mail.

Also, all the Tamas I have currently (with the exception of Ruki) are named after characters in books I've read (or at least started).  If you know where they're names are from or want to guess, go ahead post the title and author (and probably some sort of comment log related too would be nice...)

Calwyn... Mica, Trout, boats, pirates, docks... The Chanters of Tremaris series? I read the series a while back, it wasn't too bad. I was impressed!

Elphie... Elphara from Wicked by Gregory Maguire? I wasn't such a fan of that book. I put it down after the first chapter.

I don't know any of the others... but I like your logs!

EDIT: Actually, isn't Xanni from the Chanters of Tremaris too?

Excellent guesses Koluki, both are correct.  Thanks for posting!  As for the others, Luna would be much easier if you knew her last name (which I'm not going to tell you, of course ).  Hazel will be especially hard since her name was mentioned only once or maybe twice in the book it came from.

Anyways, more Tama related, Xanni is now a Mizutamatchi.
