We opted for Ham instead of Turkey. Neither of us are big Turkey fans. Plus that's a lot of food for two people.
Ham is traditional Finnish Christmas meal btw, thou some ppl buy turkey these days as our culture has start to turn "Americanish" as a result of most fiction TV shows that air here being Made in USA.
Finnish kids put socks hanging in the wall around Christmastime and think that Santa's can fly thou either one of these features hasn't belong to Finnish Christmas beliefts in earlier decades. Santa has always had common sled and kids have been wondering if he can come or not if there is no snow in Christmas Eve.
But I didn't knew Thanksgiving is today (and either that Canada has own 3 weeks earlier) and I was like WTF when turkey chased my Tarakotchi today, and when I checked the Tama in school I saw nothing and I thought "Oh no I must have sat on it and now it's broke...". Then I saw Tarakotchi running aside with turkey behind her. Gee...
