OK, you two can take the whole process from here.

But take this as a warning;
The hours plan is not an easy job to do, you can never find a hour that suits everybody and the possible participants always find something to nag about.

And please stop filling this topic with 1-line posts. This start to look like some real-time chatroom..

There is pinned topic in this section of TSS named "Event Time Schedules Collection" that has plenty of hour plans created for the past grouphatches and chat events.
You can use on of those or create your own with using them as note to see how many hours difference there is between countries.

And remember to start own topic for the hatch/chat event. This topic is more like "When you want the next hatch to take place?" sketch than the information topic of the actual hatch/chat/event.
With starting new topic for the hatch after you have chose hour plan, you'll get more attention for the hatch than when the information about the event will be here in the 5th page of some topic.

Don't worry Kokuma, I think we can manage. I'm hoping that if I take CST and make it 8am there, that means I, who am on the latest time, will be about 10 PM. We can run from there.

That plan gives hours 2 to 4 PM for Europe. Not bad.

But if it's 6 to 9 AM for USA (PST, MST, CST, EST), wouldn't it be 12 AM (midnight) for East Australia, not 10 PM..? Or have I count it all wrong. It would be 10 PM for the West Australia and 12 AM for the East if I'm not wrong.

I think there is someone from Australia East Coast (Melbourne, Sydney) and he/she's going to get midnight hour.
Also Kat & Brendan might have problems to wake up at 5:45 AM for the hatch if they have made webpages until AM hours the night before Wink

(post before the most recent one)Kokuma:I actually posted soemthing from an old previous board,and so did Eveh.Kat split the two topics, so I didn't actually make this topic. And that looks pretty easy to manage,but I'm not sure.(the timezones chart)

The only problem with the charts is that the timezones/hours are took from a map which didn't show Summer Time/Daylight Saving Time differences. Example now in the (north hemisphere) "winter" some south countries (belov equator) have Daylight Saving Time going on and they are 1hr forward from those hours. But it's quite complicated when example neighbor provinces/territories can have different times when one follows DST and other one doesn't.

So I think using those "neutral" hours (that are not affected by DST) in the charts is better idea than start to modify the charts every time with tilting the southern hemisphere countries' times 1 hour forward. Or vice versa in the "summer" tilt north hemisphere's countries times 1 hour forward.

I'm the East Coast Aussie, and late hours are more conveinent for me, but kudos for saying it. Wink As for the hours, I agree about the DST, better to just work off the normal times. BIG kudos to you Kokuma, you really are the Timemeister!

As for the chat plan, I believe it's already been created as the TL plan. Kudos to you Becca, and now we have enough info to create the board. Thanks for your help, Kokuma and Jenna! (I'm trying to find a way to host the voice chat)

Yay!Even though I'm not too sure how voice chat works,but I have a mic. It's voice chat and normal chat,right?Then we'll have the group hatch at that time.Sounds good.
