Jiro, I know how to use the Wi-Fi features, I just haven't done it yet because I don't have any Friend Codes.

Thanks Elana, I hope you're enjoying your's as well.

I'll have to read into it a little more as I haven't got much of a clue how the Wi-Fi or Friend Code thing works yet.
But im looking for to getting it started and discussing it with everyone else on here that has it.  Smiley

Here's a quick explanation:

Wi-Fi just means "wireless network". If you use a wireless network to access the Internet (i.e. if you have a wireless base station), then your Nintendo DS should be able to automatically connect to the Internet wirelessly.

To get Animal Crossing: Wild World to look for an Internet connection, you turn on your DS and enter the game. When it says hello and asks if you would like to continue, add a new resident, etc. etc., choose "other things". Then one of the options will be Wi-Fi setup. It'll ask you if you want to connect to Nintendo WFC. Say yes. Then tap one of the connection files and tell it to find a network automatically. Ideally, it should be able to set up a connection and the test connection will work. Once this is all done, enter your town.

Go to the gateway with the two dog guards. Talk to the one on the right. Ask him for your Friend Code. He will tell you that in order to be assigned a Friend Code, you must connect to Nintendo WFC. Say yes. Then your DS will reconnect to the Internet. Wait for just a few seconds, and then the dog guard will tell you a string of numbers. You don't have to memorize them; if you forget, you can just ask him again. That is your Friend Code. Tell your friends your Friend Code and they can visit your town if you are both connected to the Internet at the same time. You let them into your town by asking the dog guard to "open the gates". Having open gates means that you are online and your friends can get into your town via wireless Internet.

If you want to visit someone else's town, ask that same dog guard to let you out to visit a town. He will ask you for the Friend Code of the town you want to visit. Put in the code that your friend told you, and go through the gate.

I don't know what happens next, because I have never gone to anyone else's town!

I would love to visit your towns and bring home the fruit that grows in your town. I'm planting a little orchard next to my house of different kinds of fruit that I have collected. My town's trees grow pears. What do your towns grow?

Yeah I knew what Wi-Fi was, just hadn't learned how to use it with Animal Crossing yet.
Thanks for the info Elana, that will save me from having to examine the manual, lol.  Smiley

I'll post my friend code as soon as I can.

Heehee. ^_^ The ACWW game is pretty cute (and it pictures me as a short thing with pink hair with three ponytails, hahaha!).

I don't have Wi-Fi - but it is possible that maybe some of my friends may have it - if that is so, I could try visiting other towns too. Cheesy

My Town (called Spiffy, heehee) grows peaches. Smiley They look very appetizing. Smiley
