Sorry Kokuma, I realized this just as you logged of the chat.
I knew I had heard that song in Icelandic and I was pretty sure it went "Á jólunum, á jólunum" which means "At Christmas time, At Christmas time" so I googled it to try to find the rest of the lyrics but I couldn't find it which I found pretty strange. I ended up on this forum where people were talking about weird Icelandic translations, they were saying how Icelandic musicians very often turn non-Christmas songs into Christmas songs. This one person pointed out that it was strange that this one song O Tannenbaum had been translated into a non-Christmas song. Then it hit me!
It's "Í skólanum, Í skólanum" which means "In school, In school" and kids often sing this when they're starting school in the fall. Since it rimes "skólanum - jólunum" I didn't realize.
So I don't thing that the Icelandic version fits into your song project :p it's a very cool idea though!!

Yup, there is similar case with the swedish lyrics. I found one swedish translation but then realized it was weirdish humour song that had nothing to do with Christmas.
But I'll keep searching for the "real" swedish ones so Scandinavian languages are well represented Wink

Hope you find it, and you get a change to represent Scandinavia! I'm really proud of my language and I would be happy to participate but I really feel like it doesn't fit in. Although I would have been the only person to know about that if I hadn't said anything :p
Hope it goes well and I look forward to hear the final version ogf things

I could sing it in Mandarin, and Setswana too if I can possibly find lyrics.
