I'm really poor with writing VP logs, so that's why you've never seen a Tama log written by me Tongue
But couple of days ago I found something really neat from this one mobile phone ringtone/software/etc. service. A Tamagotchi Angel as a game for cellphones.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day 1; How Boo got his Wings

I never got a Angelgotchi back in 90's and I haven't bought one from Ebay or such places now  when Tama craze came back. I was totally clueless how to take care of something so different that had "effort" meter and "deeds" meter and who didn't need to be played with after feeding.

This story started two days ago after I found Jamba's advertisement (Jamba is known as "Jamster" in english sopeaking countries outside Europe) from this one rubbish magazine (You know, news about Paris Hilton said something stupid in some party and who cares..?) and when I was looking through the list of mobile games there was...my breath almost stopped...a Tamagotchi Angel Shocked
I remembered how Seraphim told in his logs about how he got Tamagotchi Angel for his mobilephone couple of days ago and I thought I'll get it too.

So I started my mobile Angel around 6pm and I got this funny looking white ghost in the screen with halo ring above it's head. Later I became to know it's called Obaketchi and it looks the same as the "dead Tama" in P2 death screen.

Obaketchi was kinda needy. And that connected to the fact that I didn't know how to do some parts of the caretaking I was all "??!" with the Tama. the first 7 Shooting Stars games didn't succeed, I didn't know how to raise the AP and didn't know when to praise.

Soon I realized that candy giving raises AP and how to play the Shooting Star game (it was really difficult with Obaketchi who was poor at jumping) and became to know not to praise unnecesserely as it causes of losing hearts in "effort" meter (happiness).

I started to call the character a Boo after the ghost in Mario Party games as it looked just like a Boo when it was eating pie/candy.

The Obaketchi end up turning to Maruten after about 1,5hrs and Maruten fell to asleep at 8pm.

The Tama Angel mobile game uses the mobilephone's time setting as it's clock, even when the software/game isn't activated so the Angel is usually hungry/unhappy and AP number has drop when you activate/open the software.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day 2: Winged Gumball

Maruten does look like a cute little pink bubblegum ball with angel wings, doesn't he? Cheesy

Boo flied all day in the screen, ate pie and candy, jumped over shootingstars countless times and was one little happy ball of gum.

I even learnt to scare the bats away (yea, there is no touchscreen in cellphones - it's the button 5)

I saw first time him doing "a good deed" in afternoon and praised him. Now the deeds meter has 3 bars.
In mobile version it's quite hard to tell when baby/toddler is making a good deed as cellphone's screen backlight shuts 15secs after you have press button and you need to press the "A" (button 1) to lit the screen to see what's going on.

I was hoping for Kodoten or Takoten evolution before Boo falls asleep in the evening but he went to sleep as Maruten and floated on his little "sleeping cloud" Smiley

It's about time you started a log, Kokuma, hehe.  Grin I hope you'll keep up with it, sounds very interesting so far, I've never raised any of the tamagotchi emulators or any other software.

Also, I'm guessing this program is based pretty closely off the actual tamagotchi angel?

Interesting log!  I like the way you write.

I did a quick search for the program, apparently it will work on my cell phone but I hesitated at the price.  I don't usually buy cell phone games because I have a fear of having no battery left to make calls   Undecided

It's about time! Good looking log so far. =D
You make me want to log about my Mobile Angel!
Mine changed into a Taraten today. Cheesy

They're identical! Tamagotchi Angel, that is, with Smiling Angel in. That's the good part, the bad is you can't pause it, unless you change the clock/time on your mobile/cell.

Day 3: "It's Evolution Time!"

Nothing special did happen with Boo before noon, thou I awaited the changing into Kodo-/Takoten. Common candy eating and over star hopping and no good deeds, not a one that I had figured out.

I had day off from school and was taking afternoon nap about 2pm when I woke up with my cellphone giving "special beep" (Tama Angel software was on).

Boo evolved into Kodoten ^^

If Maruten looked like a pink gumball with wings, Kodoten looks like a flying potato with ":|" face and PowerPuff Girls style hands...heh Tongue

The Tama Angel software eats a lot of phone battery so I have had charge my phone's accu two times in these 3 days o_O The battery is old and doesn't keep charging very well anymore. usually I have to charge it once in 4 days, about. (New freshly charged battery in this Nokia model lasts about 5-6 days)

The  battery died and the phone was closed 2 hours while it was in charging. When I opened the software next time it was 25mins until Boo was suppose to go to sleep at 8pm and he had one hunger heart and one "effort" heart empty. Also the AP had drop about 10 points. So I played with him and fed him candy and pie.

These days the bat comes every time hunting for his candy so I have a finger ready in button 5 for the "tapping".

Yes, this mobile game version is almost identical to the pocket VP original one with the setting of phone buttons 1-3 working as buttons A, B and C and button 5 is the "screen touching" button.
And Tamas are now cute little Windows Paint -style sprites instead of pixel characters. The menus are still pixel-style, loyal to the original pocket Angel.

This Tamagotchi Angel cellphone game is official Namco-Bandai product 2007(R), it says in the credits.

Now little Kodoten-Boo is sleeping on his Sleeping Cloud and this log continues tomorrow

That's that I said! ... On my log at least. XD

Congratulations to you. You might end up with the Twin Angels, those are cute! Or Angel Ginjirotchi!  Cheesy

Day 4; Angel Through the Door

Second day of Boo's life as Kodoten started with poo, 1 heart loss in both meters and 9 points loss in AP, so it was time for pie, candy and some Shooting Star jumping.

Today I saw another good deed and Boo pooped after that so the glitch from the original pocket Angelgotchi makes comeback in mobile game version: Poop after Praise (Tongue)
Good Deeds meter is now 6 or 7 bars (30%)

Boo did his first Stroll today! In the afternoon I saw cute pixel style door in the screen after "special beep" and I thought to let him do his trip outside and not to cancel it. After he came back he had his AP drop down quite a lot. I hope it wasn't cause I didn't call him back from his "walk"...

I really like to take care of Angelgotchi as a mobile game version.
You can change the "skin" of the "shell" that can be seen in phone screen around the Tama screen. There is all the classic colors that were featured in '98 pocket Tama Angel; pink, duckling yellow, baby blue and white.
I have stuck in baby blue. Me likes

Boo is now sleeping on his 'sleeping cloud' and I have shut the light.

I hope to see next evolution tomorrow. To either Kuriten or Ginjiroten. Which one, that we'll see then =)
