Well, Fry has been figuring stuff out in his log, thank goodness for him being here, so I decided that now with the addition of my new Pet and Love Famitamas, why not make a little manual? It's a work in progress, so I'll save and edit as I go (I have work soon)

First, the icons.

Status Icon
When you first enter this screen, you see the traditional hearts for hunger and happiness. However, there are five of them this time!

The next screen has a percentage number on it. From looking at Fry's log and other logs online, I believe this to be a "Bonding Percentage." Maybe it has something to do with what characters you will get?

Following the Bonding screen is a screen that states the name of your family, in this case, "Chiyo." It also shows the generation of the family.

The next three screens show stats of the three tamas on your general screen. Again, from looking at other logs, I believe that they go in order of age, with the oldest one going first. It shows gender, and I believe the species of the tama.

Food Icon

It looks like the regular "Food" and "Snack" options for now, while they are still toddlers. Maybe when they get older they'll have the female character, or the mother/wife will cook for the rest of the family.

Bathroom Icon
Same as always with all the other connections. If your family makes a mess, clean it up! in the FamiTama, they are a bit more sanitary and leave it in the distance behind them instead of standing next to it all day. If you catch them in the act (they look like they're pushing  ), then you can highlight and press the icon and one of them will get into the duckie.

Games Icon

You will have a choice of four games when you choose this option. When you play a game, the eldest of your family will be the one that plays the game. He or she will also be joined by a parent in the last two games.:

Mimic II:

¤ This is very similar to the Mimic game in the V3. You see a TV screen in front of you that alternates between different teen characters including a Young Mimitchi, Ringotchi, Nikatchi, Young Dorotchi, and Young Androtchi. To the side of the TV, you get a poster that has one of the characters, and you have to "mimic" it and choose the same one that comes up on the TV. For example, there is a Nikatchi on the poster next to the TV, so you have to choose the Nikatchi (press the "B" button) when it comes around on the TV. I haven't beat this one all the way yet, but I believe you need to get 20 correct mimics to win.

Tea Ceremony:

¤ Your eldest family member will be at the center of the table. Two cups will come up at either side of the table. It will be either of 4 scenarios:
  • Both cups will be upright. Press both A and B at the same time. Tea will be poured into both
  • The left cup will be upright, and the right cup will be turned over ("spilled" or "closed"). Press only the A button, and tea will be poured into the upright one.
  • The right cup will be upright, and the left cup will be turned over ("spilled" or "closed"). Press only the B button, and tea will be poured into the upright one.
  • Neither cup will be upright. Don't press any buttons, because neither should have tea poured into it.
Get it right 20 times and you win the whole thing!

The next two games are accessible once you have a mother and father in the family, as well as their three kids. Basically, from generation two and onward.

Golf

¤The eldest child will team up with the father of the family, and they will play golf together! This is similar to the Block breaking game in the Entama, where you need to line up the little arrow with the ball in order to land a hole in one! This game does not increase happy hearts, but I believe it should make the parent and child bond more, increasing the bonding percentage (or so it has for me).

Shoe-match Game

¤Mama can't find her matching shoes! A conveyor belt of different sized and styled shoes moves along the bottom, while the mother of the family and eldest daughter or son try to find a match to the shoe selected up at the top, located betweent he two. When the same style shoe moves under the empty space, press the B button and let it come up! Careful though, the conveyor belt gets faster as you get further into the game! Match 20 shoes and you win! This game does not increase happy hearts, but I believe it should make the parent and child bond more, increasing the bonding percentage (or so it has for me).

InfraRed Connection
Choose this if you want to connect your FamiTama with others. The Famitama will not connect with other versions, such as the Uratama, Keitai, Akai, Entama, or any American or European Connections. If you decide to connect two FamiTama together, you will encounter four options:

This is off-topic: Congratulations! When did you get your Familitchi's?
If not, then I'll blame it on your sig! >___>;
I hope you'll like it(them!), and have lots of fun.

Good job with the translations. Looks good. =P

Glad to hear you finally got your FamiTama, Anna! I hope you're enjoying it.

I just wanted to add what little info I have. First off, I agree with you about the second screen, I also think that it has something to do with bonding. I think that the events I mentioned in my log are what affects this, mine has gone from 0% to 40% and it has gone up after my tama were finished with the events.

The following times are when the toddlers call for attention on the FamiTama( this is the 'event' I'm referring to): 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, and 6pm.
I don't think this is the same for the teenagers, so far today I've only noticed them calling for attention twice, once at 12pm and once at 4pm, I never noticed them calling for attention at 10am and 2pm. So I guess this is one of their ways of getting less needy as they grow older?

(Whenever I say 'event' I'm talking about when the FamiTamas call for attention and they have either a musical note or question mark above their heads, to which you then select the face/talk bubble icon and are presented with three objects they can use. I'm not sure if any of you would refer to that as an event, but thats what I've been calling it so don't mistake that with any other kind of event that may or may not happen with the FamiTama. Smiley )

I also noticed the teenagers get up at 7am and I think they got to bed at 9pm.

Good luck with the guide, Anna, if you need any help just let me know, I'd be more than happy to.  Grin

Anna I just wanna say that this looks like a brilliant guide and while I don't have one myself I'm quite anxious to see further details.

It's nice to see Bandai coming out with something that isn't just another 'version' ^.^

Yep, the screen showing your Tamagotchi does have your Tamagotchi's species written on it.

Great guide though. I love the screen shots Smiley

All new additions will be in blue. When I add something else, the older addition will become black and the brand new one will be in blue instead, so y'all can know what I added ^_^

Since my FamiTamas are not currently "on" I can't work on this for the time being. But if anyone has any screen shots where I can make out the pixels on clearly so I can make a picture from it, that would be AWESOME. It won't be too long that I won't work on this, but it'll be a bit.

Sorry y'all

I just wanted to give you a little bit of information on the TV game. You only need to get up to 10 to win. I managed to beat it twice, don't ask how!
