There's a man at one end of a hallway #1

There's a man at one end of a hallway. His pockets are empty, and his only goal in life is to reach the other end of the hall. The only thing that can stop him is you. The only thing that can help him is you.

::Here's how this game is played: In each post after this one you can do one of five things:

Give the man an item
Take away an item
Make the man perform an action (and describe the result of this action)
Place an obstacle in his way
Make the obstacle do something to the man

In order for the man to reach the other end of the hallway, he must move forward 10 times. (Meaning there must be 10 posts that state: "The man moves forward"). In order to move forward he must have no obstacles in front of him. If an obstacle exists for 4 posts before it is dealt with, the man is pushed back and must move forward an extra step to reach the end of the hallway. Once this happens, that obstacle goes away.

The game can end in two ways: either the man advances to the end of the hallway, or we reach 100 posts in this thread. Post 100 will end the game and I'll lock the thread. Any comments without an action will be deleted so as to not count against the number of turns in the game. Any actions that do more than one thing will also be deleted (you can not give the man an item and then describe how he uses it (or even suggest how it should be used)).

When you make a post to do something, you can not repeat the post before yours. Meaning, that if the post above you says "The man moves forward" you can not post "The man moves forward". You can not perform two similar actions in a row (if the post above you gives the man an item, you can't give him another one in your post. Also, you can not take away an item that has just been given to the man). You can not make two posts in a row. You must let at least one other person play between your posts.

The only actions that are off limits are ones which would end the game prematurely. Things like a teleportation device or other game-enders are subject to deletion, unless creatively woven into the story to not produce a game ending result.
