I own both, but I haven't opened them yet. I've heard that they're both more challenging than other Tamas, and that the Ocean is by far the most challenging! I'm sure other people will have more to contribute.

Yeah, like Elana said and like I said in your other topic, they are both a little harder to care for than the others.
The ocean, in my opinion, is the hardest of all tamas to take care of.
I like insects and fish Smiley so I loved the idea of having a tama with those characters.
Also like Elana said, check out Kat's links, she gives very detailed analysis  on pretty much every tama.
I like the ocean better, just because I really like fish and the way the characters look.

Here are the links from Kat's site:

Hey like everyone has said they are harder and you have to keep a keen eye on them and never turn the sound off.

they usually get attacked alot and that kills characters. i myself have not gotten to the adult characters.
but it is really fun caring for the alot and the characters are mighty cute!

Well, I have never actually played with a MoriNo, but I did have the chance to play with a Jap ocean on loan.

I would really go for a MoriNo - I love insects, and their evolution is different from other ones. They have cocoons, and lots of little beetle evolutions, and they sound quite neat altogether.

Oceans are fun the first time or so, but they get really tiring to care for, and they often die for no reason - which sometimes enfuriates, hahaha, though you do feel very happy when they evolve (that's the good point).

I wonder why they never made "Gomiire Hekken de Tamagotch" (Trashbin Tamagotchi) which has tiny cute bacteria and micro orgasnism Tamas Cheesy

As you know, slightly grotesk things get attention from kids, especially in Japan.
Lately there have been toilet-seat Tama and buttcheeks Tama in Japanese Connections (In Entama and Kakebo?).
The buttcheeks one have buns in it's side and it shakes them when it's happy. It also releases gas to see if it's healthy or not Tongue

I'd like to see tiny Salmonetchi or Bacteritchi in my Tama Smiley

I like them both for different reasons. If you prefer easy going, then get Mori no. If you prefer a challenge, get Ocean.

I prefer Mori, it's just way easier to care for and it's really different from a lot of other Tamagotchi. Mori is in my top favorites and Ocean is not. Ocean has adorable characters, but it's unrealistically demanding on the caretaker. To really care for Ocean one really can't live life too well at the same time as caring for it, imo.  Grin

Sounds very interesting.  Where can I buy Ocean and Morino?  My sister loves sea creatures so I'm positive she'll love the Ocean.  I want a Morino  Grin  I'm kind of new to Tamagotchi (I have a Connection v3), and would like to know where I can buy original Ocean and Morino.  And how can I tell a fake one from an original one?

They aren't made any more. Your best bet is to get them on ebay.com

The best bet would probably be eBay to find a Morino or Ocean, and I'm sure if you start looking around and send the links, we'd be most glad to help you to confirm if its real or not. =)

Edit: Ooh, you're a quick one Mimitchi.  Wink
