I don't know about you guys but my house is full of books, most of them belonging to my Mom, but I'm thankful for it because I love to read. It's one of my favorite things to do, and I'm one of the few members in my family that thinks books are better than movies.
So, I was wondering how many others here are like me, but also because I was looking for some suggestions. So if you have a book you enjoyed, or hated, post about it here.
I for one love all kinds of books, I have a hard time choosing a favorite in anything so I don't really have a favorite, but I do have one that inspired me in a way no other did. I even based one of my college application essays off of it.
That book would be James Herriot's
All Creatures Great and Small. It's a book about a British veterinarian and his many stories as such. Ever since I was about twelve I've wanted to become a veterinarian so that book really meant a lot to me.
Some other books I would suggest would be several of Stephen King's books, specifically
Cell and
Lisey's Story. Those are probably the ones I enjoy most of the many books his written. They both have strong language and other things not appropriate for the young, so If you don't like that kind of stuff you might not enjoy these two books, or really any of Stephen King's books because almost of his have strong language.
Another great book is Elie Wiesel's
Night which is a true story about his time spent in an Auschwitz concentration camp. He also won the Nobel Peace prize in 1986, I believe.
A book I know I will definitely be getting is one by Chris Jones called
Too Far From Home: A Story About Life and Death in Space which I saw and read a little bit of in Books A Million the other day. So maybe I'll post about it on here once I'm finished with it.

And now it's your turn, feel free to post about any books you've enjoyed. Or maybe even the ones you wished you'd never purchased.
