I've been having good time when looking for Connexion V4's in Ebay and encounting tons of these chinese fakes based in newest Japanese models of Tama Plus.

Example these are advertised as "V6 infrared Tamagotchi Connections";

"version 6"

Looks a bunch of fakes, covers based in Entama/Uratama if you look into the antenna's shape. And who knows what kind of circuit board there is inside? Original Tama Plus? Tongue

Then we have;

Honey Lovers Touch-Me Tama (lol)

Covers based on Kakebo Ginza Street touch-screen Pocket Deka Tamagotchi that was released a while ago in Japan. Advertised as "version 4 with touch screen operating". Who knows what's there inside, what kind of circuit board and what kinds of characters/features. The touch-screen system seems to be copied from Kakebo.

The angels wings that are in the sides of package look kinda cute and innovative...but bleh...

Many of the new fakes seem to have red-n-white icon in their packages similar to official "Bandai" logo, but instead saying "JD" or "TS".

Why to wait until 2009 to get your Tamagotchi Connexion V7 if you can buy one just now? Cheesy

"version 7"

Thou it is chinese cheap fake ripped off of Entama/Uratama and has some of the most nonsense engrish I've ever seen in it's package;

"Super Game Function Desire Come True" and "The Original Fights Each Other"

I'm laughing so much I can't get breath...uh... xD xD

These ones try to look soooo Bandai, with official "Tamagotchi" logo in the top and pictures of Mametchi everywhere.

Fight-o-gotchi

But then small print in the bottom of the package says:

"The original fights each other"

lol

EDIT: typo

And then;

What are these??

I Lit Small Bulb When I Poop -Tama Cheesy

It looks like it has similar lit-up buttons in the top and bottom side of the screen as the 1999 easy-to-care Yasashii Tamagotchi(?)
That's kinda impressive. Sure they need to create something original in their fake products that ppl buy their $7 item and not the original Bandai $20 Tamagotchi Tongue

From reading Tamenagerie (http://www.homestead.com/karrsplace/index.html), I get the impression that most of the fakes are running the Gyaoppi chip. Gyaoppi is the kind where you choose one animal, like a dog or a cat or a duck, sometimes you have three choices, sometimes nine, or even thirty, and you just raise that animal. Each time you reset you can choose a new animal. Her website has more information. I've never owned one myself, although maybe someday I'll pick one up for cheap to see what it's like.

Fakes on ebay. Very amusing indeed. Just heed my warning for those who can't tell the difference and are interested in getting a virtual pet online...

Always and I mean always, get help with an experience ebayer and do your research lol. I have seen so many topics on TT about people being ripped off. I figure its their fault for not looking into it further or getting someone else to. If you get jipped, I don't cry for you, that's what I say XD

I also assume a lot of those are going on a multi chip but not nearly as nice as the Gyaoppi chip. I wish more people had Gyaoppi type pets so they could experience how nice the Gyaoppis were.  Undecided

Hint for a person who's looking for Tamagotchis in Ebay:

If there's no red-n-white "Bandai" logo in the package, don't buy.

If the auctor hasn't took pictures of the package, just the VP think really really long if buy it or not. The "Tamagotchi" you are buying is propably a fake.
