I also enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons now and then, if you could call that a board game. We never play with miniatures... or maps.

My one character is a male Half-Orc who I accidentally gave a female's name. >-> He gets a lot of in-game mockery for that.

I have this very ancient variation of Trouble (a game I really don't like) called 'Bogeyman!'. It's another kid's game (t'is but all we have) where you have a Trouble-like board with the pegs and holes and pop-up die-roller thing, but as well as each players respective pegs, everyone also controls the large purple figure called the Bogeyman, and however many steps each player takes, it takes the same amount of steps around the very inside holes of the board. If the Bogeyman stops on one of your pegs, you have to send that one back to the beginning. This would endlessly entertain us. I don't know why.
