Do you have a system or a strategy to care for or check on your Tamagotchis?

I know that I have to check on my Tamas in the same order every time, or else I'll forget someone. I always check Pink Tama first, and the rest are in the order that I hatched them. I use the same order in the list I have in my signature. Smiley Whenever I hear anyone beep, even if I know who it was, I check them in that order, starting with Pink Tama, so that I catch every missing heart on everyone.

That's the only way I can feel confident that I'm not forgetting anyone!

I also always figure out who wakes up the earliest in my bunch, and I set my alarm for that time. (I do hit snooze a lot though.)

Then, whenever they all go to bed, I wake up Pink Tama again to have special extended time together.

On days when I know I'm busy, I choose the Tamagotchi that's highest on my list that isn't that needy to come along with me. So I always try to keep Pink Tama active as much as possible, but if it's a new baby on Pink Tama and I have a busy day ahead of me, I switch to #2, and so forth!

That's my Tama System! Do you have one?

Great topic Elana! I'm really looking forward to see if anyone else has Tama systems!

After reading this, I found out that I really do have a Tamagotchi system that I follow during the school week. When I wake up at 7am, I set forward the time on my Tamas so that they will wake up early, and I can spend the next two hours with them, while getting ready, eating breakfast and going to school. I leave them on time set until I come back upstairs after my shower, and then wake them all up early.

While eating breakfast I check on everyone, and make sure they're all fine. After that I make my first daily visit to the boards, and see if anything happened when I was asleep. Cheesy

Along the way to school, I have a half hour drive. We drop my mom downtown to work first, and then I go to school. I care for my buddies all along the way (I can't think of one day where I left them home). Before getting out of the car, I normally pause Mimitchi, as I like to keep him around longer through pausing. I don't pause anyone else, and decide that I will pause them during the morning if things get busy. This always works out because when I pause them, I'm just giving back the two hours that they lost when I woke them up early. Cheesy It's a great system for me to use since I'm in school five days a week.

I un-pause Mimitchi for a little while every now and again. But I like spending real time with him at home. Normally I'll un-pause him when I get home at 3pm. Smiley

So that's my Tamagotchi system, which is done every day. I'm so glad that this topic was posted (great job Elana) or else I wouldn't have realized that I do have a system! Cheesy

I usually keep my tamas on one of those big keychain holder things that look like rock-climbing clasps, unless they have a chain like a uratama or entama, or the japanese akai I have. So I'll start with one of them on the chain, and after I'm done checking I flip it over my hand and go onto the next one. Once I'm back at the first one, I check the ones that don't fit on the chain, or would be a pain to have on it.

Lately, though, I haven't been carrying around that clip with me, so I keep them in my bag. Anywhere I go, if I'm leaving a place, I'll count either the outlines of them or make sure that I see all their colors before I go. I'll check on them in any order in that case.

I have two Tamagotchi (a v1 and a v4) running at the moment so it isn't too hard.

The v1's easy enough to care for but the v4's frustrating.

Anyway when they're both babies, the rule is the v1 ALWAYS gets cared for first. Always. Then the v4 gets care (if it's VERY lucky I play a game with it).

And when my v4 evolves into an adult I pause it until my v1 evolves as well.

Lol, great system you guys, I should do that- or some of it.
I'm hanging them wherever I can; on my bag, with my keys, on my cellhpone or even on some books, so they're basically scattered all over the place. I manage to check om them all, though. Right now I've my G1 hanging on my cell with my Mini, both the V4's on my keychain. The Ura's free, sicne it doesn't have any key or bead/ballchain[it really annoies me]. My Akai, who came with a keychain, instead of that strap like most of them do, is hanging on my shoulder bag atm. My FamiTama is in my pocket, while my V2 is keeping my Ura company.

I only have two working Tamagotchi, so there isn't much of a system.

I don't have a keyring for my pair or anything: I just loop one of them around each of my middle fingers.  If I need to use that hand and I can't set them down, I grab the chain with my ring and pinky fingers, leaving three fingers free.  It's a pretty good system for me, but that's one of the reasons I've delayed from getting a third Tamagotchi.

When I am checking on them, I usually do it at the same time.  I can press both of their buttons at once, and I'm usually pretty efficient, which cuts the time in half that it takes to check their status.  I do the same thing when feeding or turning out their lights at night.  That might also be why I have such a complex about them being the same weight.

That's pretty much all I have for a system.   Smiley

Mine will sound a little nerdy but I have a system that revolves around... yeah you guessed it... poop...

For a while I have been building charts and databases of when each and every Tamagotchi will need to go to the bathroom based on the time it was born, its evolution stage, sleep times etc.

The goal, of course, is to never have any poop on-screen.

Based on all that (I've been snowed in a lot this year, can't you tell!) - I know roughly when someone is going to need the bathroom, so after I've  put him/her on the potty, I check on the others to make sure they aren't hungry or unhappy.

That way everyone gets any empty hearts filled about every 40 minutes.

Although if I'm at work, my buddies all have to stay home paused. I can't wait to find a job where I can play with them in the open!

I can't bear to keep them on key loops or anything - too much jangling, the poor casing might get dented!
Mostly they are lying beside my computer, as that is where I am most of the time.
Then, I just check them in order of version:
V1, V2s, V3, Mini, P1, and whatever else there is (digital pet, kimiko baby byte, etc.)

The P1 is last because while it is the earliest version, it is the newest version to me as it's the one I've gotten most recently!

When I'm traveling, only one Tamagotchi goes with me, and it just hangs out in my Jean pocket. I might bring two if I happen to bring a bag, but I don't normally.

Now that I think about it, I actually don't have any sort of "system" that I check my tamagotchis in. I have a Mothra, 2 Uratamas and an Akai running right now. I find that I usually check the Mothra first since it drops hearts faster than the others. And I also don't have any loops or anything to keep them together, so bringing all of them around is really a handful, literally..

I normally only have 1 tama going at a time, but if i find myself caring for more than 2 i'll just keep checking on them every 5 minutes or so (i normally have 1 teen, 1 adult and 1 child at all times). This way none of them get neglected and i don't have to worry if i'm busy and can't look at them for hours on end.
