One thing I've always found a bit strange is that a lot of American designs I've seen on the Internet say "Tamagotchi Connection" on them, a lot of European designs on the Internet say "Tamagotchi" on them and the designs sold down here in Australia and over in Japan don't say anything on them.

I thought Australia gets same designs as Europe (Connexions), with the old-fashioned "Tamagotchi" logo word print in the top of the covers. That was the case back in the times of V2 and so on.

Those no-name covers that have only patterns and item pictures in them are used in China and other Far East countries, not in Australian releases. Or am I all wrong?

Ps.
I hope that roof/house antennae can be removed like V4/V4.5 antennae. I don't want that thing to stuck inside my knit Tamagotchi carrypouch....eww

Well, the first couple of batches of v3s in Australia said "Tamagotchi Connexion" on them. The last few batches of v3s in Australia simply said, "Tamagotchi." The first few batches of v4s were Entama designs (they haven't changed the Entama designs by adding "Tamagotchi", though they have changed the word "GUTS" to "JINSEI" on the GUTS Swimming design). The last few batches were pink and flowery...

I saw a short thingy about v4.5 in some magazine and there was a pale yellow with jellybeans and another purple one if I remember correctly. Also we have the globe design (with "Tamagotchi Connection" on the top though the packaging is slightly different).

Anyway to get back on topic... I'm not sure about how I'm supposed to feel about the Famitama release. Actually, to tell the truth, I feel angry.

why angry, dancinkayley?

Famitamas have finally come to sale in Finland, not more than 5mo after the original western release in USA/Canada.

This was kinda fast compared to both V4 and V4.5 which both appeared here over 6mo after original N-A release.

I bought the black & gold/w red buttons one which comes with Gozarutchi keychain mascot.
And no, the antennae isn't removable like in V4/4.5. Damn...

Wait - The V4.5 antenna is removable?
My apologies for going off topic but I did not know this. o_o
How does one go about removing it?

Top part of V4/V4.5 antennae is removable when you unscrew the covers open. That way the Tama won't stuck so easily in carrypouch or pocket - which V4s and V4.5 (also UraTamas and EnTamas) tend to do cause of their long and pointy antennae.
V5's antennae is even more pointy and that roof-shape top makes it awful to use with carrypouch.
I have planned to remove whole of my V5's antennae carefully example with tiny metalsaw and then fill the square hole with wax or some similar stuff.

Just a small update here for anyone that might not already know, a new version of FamiTama was released awhile back. It's called the Royal FamiTama Plus and I think there are some new games, characters, and I think something to do with the FamiTama website.

You can order them from YesAsia or Jason's Store on eBay. I'm sure there are other places but these are the only ones I know of.

Thats cool, I wasn't aware anyone here had gotten one yet. I think I read somewhere that they were coming out in the US and other areas in the fall, but I'm planning on buying the blue ocean design sometime in the next few weeks from Yes Asia or Jason's Store on eBay.

Well I got my Pet (yellow) FamiTama about three months ago. And the other night I bought myself a "beach" Royal FamiTama from Jason. I also have the American version which was given to me by a good friend of mine. Smiley I'm looking forward to activating them, since I've yet to experience it.
