Mine is pretty much the same as yours except mine says they have delayed it to the 30th, which doesn't make sense considering I pre-ordered mine a little earlier than you did.
This is not the "change" I was hoping for. 

I know exactly how you feel. It doesn't make much sense to me either. I guess all we can really do is sit and wait. Maybe we'll get an email saying that they got it earlier than expected. That's what happened with my laptop. They said there was a delay but I think that was just their safeguard against my complaints cos it came on time anyway...

On the brighter side, at least I'll be able to focus on my final exams instead of figuring out the FamiTama. My final exams are on either the 15th or the 17th for Biology, which is my last exam.

Heh, I think I'm sort of a pessimist so I never would have thought of it that way. I have several tests I need to be studying for as well, so I'm gonna try and just not worry about this, I'll get it eventually. Oh, good luck with your Biology exam, by the way.

Fry and I got it at different times, so it could be possible that you would get it at a different time than we did.

My status is still "searching for suppliers" as well, but in my email it says the estimated ship date will be the 29^th, so I don't know what's going on. I'm gonna concentrate on my work though so that I don't get all riled up and start holding my breath.

Hmm, maybe your's will not get delayed then? Ha, who knows, I think I'll just take Anna's approach and sit back and not worry about it.

I got an email from them, and I didn't even send them one. They just told me that the shipping date is going to be delayed to the 29th because sometimes manufacturers produce small lots of them or something.  I don't mind, I expected it to take long to get here.  If you really think about it, it isn't that long...I mean it just came out like 3 days ago..People in Japan probably can't even get the FamiTama because they are in such high demand.

Man I don't understand pre-ordering these days. Years ago it meant that you were guaranteed an item. It meant that the store knew they'd be getting exactly so many of the item, and they sold pre-orders only for the exact amount. Now, it's like, what's the point of pre-ordering? You're not guaranteed anything. The store sells more than they even just guess they will have in their first shipment, and even that's not guaranteed to show up on the promised date either. I stopped doing pre-orders because it got to mean nothing; you weren't reserving yourself a copy of something, there were no guarantees, in fact there were a few times I pre-ordered something and then saw it elsewhere on the shelf before I was even entitled to one where I pre-ordered at. And that's not right.
