First set of P1 colors were released in Japan 23th of November 1996, so these little plastic eggs are now 11 years old

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADORABLE EGG!

Some of the Tamagotchi versions have been released in that same date through the years, as TamaSchool came out in Japan 11/23 2006.

I can't believe Tamagotchi have been around for this long. In celebration of this, I've decided to hatch a Japanese P1 in the hatching - the white/black buttons one, as that is one of the six orginal colors that was released on November 23, 1996. Cheesy

11 years? Really. Wow...

I got my first real Tamagotchi in 2004, the Tamagotchi Connection.
But before that I did have my Kimiko Baby Byte from '97, affectionately called "temaguchee" because I didn't know what else to call it.

The ensuing Love of Tamas eventually pushed me to buying a P1 though.

I got my first touch with Tamas back in 1998 when my friend bought a orange-n-yellow P1 or P2 (I think it was P2) and she wanted me to take care of it while she was in reading club and some other hobbies Smiley

Later I had some egg-shape Tama ripoff with cat character that died all the time Tongue

I bought my first real Tamagotchi in 2004. It was baby blue V1 with yellow screenborders and yellow buttons.

I remember my first rip-off... it was actually a square egg shape, and the character on it never made any sense in what it was doing. I could never figure it out. It was supposedly a cat with a square head, I suppose. A few weeks later my mother got me a Compu Kitty Giga Pet, and my want for Vpets started with that. I went to a Koala, and then in 8th grade I finally got a Genjintch.

Jiro, I'm in the same boat. I only knew about Tamagotchi in 2004, when I was playing a sponsored game on Neopets called Tamagotchi Connection: More Friends, More Fun! My sister asked me what I was playing and I just said "Tamagotchi" because I didn't really know what it was. She was like, "Oh my gosh! Tamagotchi! They were out when I was younger!"

I got my first Tamagotchi towards the end of April in 2005. Happy days then, now I'm stressing about "what if my Tamagotchi comes off pause?", "what if I forget to put my Tamagotchi to sleep?" and most of all, "what will I do if it dies on 98th Generation?" This is all because I happen to be on the 93rd Generation. If I was on a much lower generation I would not care as much.

Recently in the school newsletter it said, "Remember, NO ELECTRONICS to be taken to school." Then I had a weird dream that I forgot and I was washing my hands in the girls' bathroom when the school principal (who is a female) walked in on me and I got busted right there and then for having a bad memory.

Good old 10 years. I remember back in late 96 when i first got my g1. How old must i have been, 7 or 8 years old. I where totally hooked from that moment. I also had lots of ripoffs which are missing or gone somewhere. My first ever adult character where a Maskutchi if im not mistaken. Haha i remember how afraid i was of it so my mother took care of him for me. My intrest died out for half a year- lol didnt last longer- in 98 till my uncle retunred from japan with two brand new tamagotchis: umino and morino which i btw didnt know anything about. I had issues with umino cause it keept on dying on me. I loved, and still do, them both and had them running all the time even if my umino died over and over. Now theyre both busted [cries]!
I didnt find out about connections till late 2005 and cause of that ive never been able to buy a v1. Still looking on ebay for a less expensive one tho.

Sorry about the spelling or any other error. Im writing this on my cell on the plane. Im tired to death but cant sleep.
Weve been up in the air for about 4 and a half hours now. The movies are ok, ive seen them all but theyre ok. Yuna is asleep lol. Theyll show the little mermaid next woho!
Later guys
and congrats Tamagotchis!
