I came across this looking for stuff about the simpsons game:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDTtexwVDE4
It's about the Pet Homer feature on the DS version, but there's an appearance of Tamagotchi there.

* deep voice *
In 1970, they gave you rocks. * picture of a pet rock *
In 1996, they gave you eggs. * picture of a P1 tama *
In 2005, they gave you dogs. * picture of a dog *
Now, get the pet you wanted all along.
Homer! * pokes Homer *
Homer: Heeheeheehee!

Nice commercial! I love the simpsons!

I like how they used a Tamagotchi Connection to represent the P1 Tamas.

Yeah, I highly doubt that's a real advertisment for the game.

I found a few reviews (one here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILzlyNQIBuY) of the actual game on Youtube, so I'm guessing the game is real?

Looks pretty funny!

I don't know about the ad, but the game, and the Pet Homer feature are definitely real.
