So, if you've been reading my logs, you'll have noticed that I just replaced the batteries in my V2 a couple of hours ago.  Now, I honestly don't know if or when that had anything to do with the apparent glitch my V2 now possesses.  A couple minutes ago, I went to check the items list, just to review what I had.  Some of my items included a ball, drums, and a T-shirt.  But when I went in, I found that all I had was balls!  What in the world happened?  Will new items I buy become balls, too?  Has anyone else had this problem?  Anyone...?

That is terrible ... and slightly comical.   
I have never run into any obvious glitches on mine, so I can't relate.
Did you press the reset button after you put in the new battery.  Sometimes weird stuff pops up if you do not.

Did you acquire those items between the last time your Tamagotchi woke up/changed and the time that the battery died? Because then when you chose "download" after changing the battery, it downloaded from a time before you had those things.

I just pressed the 'A' button after reinserting the battery.  There was a little beep, and I saw an egg.  When I pressed 'A' I was asked to 'Download' or 'Reset', and I chose 'Download'.  That's all.  And I've also had all those items for ages.   

I think I need to clarify something.  I had one ball, along with eight other items.  Now I have nine balls, and I have no idea what happened.  I tested a couple and they all "work" like balls, and look like balls, and it says 'ball' underneath them, so it's not something where it says 'ball' and it acts like the item that used to be there.

That's so awful! Seriously, I feel horrible for you. I have a throne and a UFO in my V2 and would be pretty pissed if that happened. The only thing I can guess is that you're supposed to push the reset button when you put a new battery in...

Wow, I've never heard of that happening before. Why don't you try reseting it and downloading again? Maybe it will change back

I've had the same thing happen to me too. Did by chance your points also change to a different or glitchy number? All I know is the items you had then are gone, but if you get rid of all these balls and things in your treats section, you can start anew there. Shop items did not seem to be affected for me, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Well, I think it's getting worse...

I just went in the shop, and you know what the items of choice are?  (I bet you can't guess.)  Balls.  All four of them.  What the heck is going on?

..Well I think we've established that it is a glitch..Now we are just trying to find out a way to fix it.
