I'm just having trouble adjusting to the thirty-so new characters. I mean, Mametchi's there, and I think Kutchipatchi and Mimitchi always make it in the sets, but I'd really like to see ALL of the original adults if they're going to go for that many. I mean, some of them just don't resemble normal Tamagotchi at all... like the sumo one or the crocodile one.  And don't even get me STARTED on those impossible-to-pronounce names! Tongue At least, to me. Can I hear your opinions on this?

Well I can totally see your point. Some of the characters aren't very Tamagotchi-like. I saw that there's a sheep available on V3. A sheep? Wink Not sure which Sumo guy you are referring to, but one of them is from the original Tamagotchi.

But I also think that like with V3, I'm sorta disappointed in the characters. It's basically many of the classics and soooooo many of the Mesu/Osu characters and so few are actually new.

Back in my day it used to be each new Tama had all new characters, nowadays they are recycling like crazy. They used to create new characters to fit the type of Tamagotchi. So in a way.. well I'm disappointed.

Regarding names that are difficult to pronounce, I'm glad they're trying to respect the original Japanese names and not coming up with lame English versions, which I imagine would be far worse. I'd rather have "Urutchi" than "Sheepie", you know what I mean?

I guess to be fair, not many people had the chance to buy a Mesu/Osu, especially a lot of the new, younger carers of Tamagotchi.

I think such cute characters are allowed to be re-used. I'm fairly okay with the new set-up of characters for the V2/3's, sure there are old ones, but of course we would love to see Tamas to the likes of Mimitchi and Kuchipatchi back.

I will admit, some of the new characters are kind of odd, and some in my opinion don't always match gender just right, but I keep an openmind regarding all of them ever since the first tamagotchies. The Japanese names are awesome to me. Leaftchi? Psh. It's Furawatchi people lol!

Leaftchi...gee It's Furawatchi/Flowertchi... Why to change english name into another english name? Cheesy
Or was the plant-Tama from P1/P2 named Flowertchi in USA?

If you think there is weird characters in V3, you haven't seen that ToiletSeat-tchi in one of the new Japanese Tama Pluses =D
